Great video on ICM. Every time I'm out doing most genres I will experiment with ICM as well.
thank you much appreciated
Thank you for this video.
During the day a ND filter is very helpful. I normally don’t chimp but I chimp a lot when doing ICM. I never know what the image will look like before I press the shutter. If I don’t like the result I change the shutter speed and repeat. Lots of trial and error.
I like about 2-5% of my images. Lots of errors. I don’t want too much blur. I strive to have some element in the frame identifiable. This means initially I keep the camera still. This is a work in progress. ICM is a lot of fun.

yes agree its a lot fun thank you
ICM - Is a lot of fun but a lot harder than you might think. Wonderful video. Take care. Bye for now.
Interesting shots. I particularly liked the swirls and the ones with Rona. 👍👍
Very interesting, nice colour's
Think you got some bangers in this one!
Full marks to you and to Rona, that was fascinating and inspiring. I couldn’t wait to get out and try for myself!
Thanks so much for sharing your precious experience with this kind of Magic Art
thank you
Steady hands 🙌 not needed , and so much for IBIS 😂👍👍Tam.
For a swirl/zoom combo try holding the barrel of the lens steady and then rotate the camera body around it.
thanks will try that
I absolutely love this technique, I’ve used it for quite a while. But there’s always new to learn, thank you 😊
thank you
ICM is certainly a different approach, but not really new. I had already followed one of the Freeman Patterson's techniques from his book, 'Photography and Art of Seeing' book photographed trees while jumping up and down over four decades ago.
👍💯
thank you
Been dabbling in this technique down here in Wales, and enjoying some of the results I'm getting. Looks like you got some great pics, too. Nice video!
thank you,. I need to try it again, love some of the effects you can create without knowing
Thanks for this excellent video. I just started using ICM. It's a fun way to photograph. You do have to take a lot of pictures and experiment, for a good picture.
yes I must have taken about 600 plus that morning....
Those images are awesome
thank you I had a great teacher in Rona
Just about every video on this subject is shot in the trees, have you people, no imagination?
