I remember Joe Rogan saying that if that fight would have went longer, Jones would have knocked Reyes out, but in reality Reyes spent most of his energy schooling Jones on the feet, in the clinch, and stuffing takedowns against the cage for 3 rounds, so by the time Jones started having any success in the last 2 rounds, it was because Reyes was pretty gassed. I still don't see how the judges gave a unanimous decision to Jones in that fight. It was the same thing with the first Gustafson fight. Jones wins, even when he loses.

And to suggest that Jon beat people who weren't in their prime, but this video is literally about Tom possibly beating a Jon Jones who isnt in his prime. And last I checked, knocking people out isnt the prerequisite for being the best fighter. GSP, Khabib, etc werent just knocking people out. Yes, I have trained, I wrestled throughout my younger years. 3. Aspinall has smoked everybody he's fought in the UFC except for Blaydes which wasn't really a fight anyway. 4. I've seen almost every event in the past 10 years. 5. I'm pretty consistent with this take, I'm very confident Ngannou and Aspinall would've beaten Jon. Even for the sake of the argument here, I think Sergei could beat Jon as well. 6. I agree Jon Jones is past his prime, who knows what a roided up Jon would look like at heavyweight lol. @@richbartsch7322actually he moved up to heavyweight before Francis left. Francis was out with knee surgery and wouldn’t resign with the UFC, for an entire year we waited for Francis to sign a contract. Jones can’t fight Francis if he’s not under contract with the ufc now can he genius.

I’ve picked Jon jones in every title fight in his career, always because of the skill difference. The closest I came to picking against Jon was DC the second time but still went with Jon. Aspinall is a next generation heavyweight with skills everywhere. Combine that with the physical advantages for Tom and I really do think Jon would lose. Especially with how Jon has looked recently….Going to close decisions with Reyes and santos is a terrible look. Modern mma fighters have more or less caught up with Jon

Jones openly said he went out of his way to kickbox with Santos as he put it. I’m sure if he went wrestling heavy game plan the rematch with either one of them would be like Gus 2. Also with wrestling training there’s a lot of strength training like lifting weights involved, probably was too hard to make 205 lbs like that for Jones, he had to train differently, now at heavyweight he can eat and lift as much as he wants.
