Any advice about hand usage? On the chest plate, thumbs up with the fingers wrapped around? Arms extended in that position or close? The refs seem close to making calls against us with the arms extended and fingers wrapped:/

How you describe it is how we taught it. As long as the defender is squared up to the blocker that should not get called holding, but if the defender starts to rip away and the blocker doesn't release his grab, that's a hold.
