Biggest hold up will be getting the elevator inspected and signed off. Once it’s closed out, the queue can happen fairly quickly. Gift shop could be quick if it’s being pre-fabbed off site and would be trucked/craned in. But time will tell. Thanks for another great video, Brickey!
I will say that the actual reason they keep making the Halloween season longer every year is that the tickets almost immediately sell out so they need more capacity for the even. Only way they can do that is by adding more dates.
The Disneyland website shows a photo and a write up about the haunted mansion under their “Halloween time” post so I think it will reopen in August absolutely.
They should do a Small World Halloween overlay for a change. Make it really creepy. Do the song in a minor key as a dirge.

Miss haunted, hoping it is up in Sept when I am able to go next, also don't forget about the Halloween tree and Ray bradbury , I knew his daughter and got some cool conversations of her being there for the 1st light up of the season
It definitely gives them a chance to extend their construction on Leota's shop since it will be NBC. I do love the overlay at halloweentime. Once it goes away I'm ready for OG HM☺️
Couldn't agree more with the insights! Definitely need the mansion up and at least running since OBB and holloween season starts earlier.
I actually think Tiannas might open sooner than you think. I think they are a little ahead of schedule on the retheme. Time will tell.

Was there today. Not much going on at Mansion. But holy heck Critter Country was crazy. Huge mounds of dirt that I don’t even know where it came from! The west side of the park is so weird right now. Never seen so many continuous construction walls. Wild. Will be glad when it’s all done.
Side note: Park was quite crowded for a Tuesday in May. And Runaway Railway was a MESS today. It went down over and over, including while I was in line. Cast member said the time I experienced was down time number SEVEN for the day. That’s ridiculous. If a ride is going down that many times, something is seriously wrong in either design, maintenance or operations.
Strangely I did not see Rise go down while I was there. Should have gone on that instead. 🙄

Off duty Cast member was commenting on the HM shirts my wife and I were wearing today. He said it is his favorite ride and he’s bummed it won’t be back until next year. I hope he’s wrong on that
Some of the rumors are that when the Mansion comes back that it will still be Haunted Holiday as there isn't enough time to switch from HH back to HM and then back to HH. So that CM is technically correct, HM isn't coming back this year.

Thanks for the insight. One question… when you say an exit into the gift shop do you mean actually through the gift shop or exiting to the outside with the gift shop to the left? The concept art seems to be a beside the shop exit, and that’s what I’m hoping it is.
Yeah, you wont be going directly through it, but the term for these types of shops are "Exit Through The Gift Shop" but the placement isn't always literal

Ive read a rumor that they are indeed making changes to the interior of the ride as well.
that said, it's quite possible they put the HMH decorbin storage while doing any upgrages and changes to avoid damage.
The extra Oogie Boogie nights could imply that the Haunted Mansion itself wont be open and they're compensating.

Once construction is done holiday makeover will go in motion n HM will open to testing over the prior weekend of Aug 23rd

RUMOR: WALT DISNEY will be a new anamatronic coming?
It will clearly open for haunted holiday, and haunted mansion will not open until like February
WILD CARD HERE: Maybe it’s just wishful thinking but what if Brickey is right and since they know Haunted Mansion Holiday may not return until late October or early November what if they brought back Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy this year!! 😂 Just wishful thinking but I do see it still opening in early September and I heard all of the Haunted Mansion Holiday decorations are still left on the inside of the attraction but the house decor has been taken down to not let it get destroyed from the weather elements and another fun fact is that there are 6 black speakers on the 2nd floor of the house that blares the music box during the overlay and every year they take them down and don’t leave them up there but since the Haunted Mansion isn’t returning until 2025 but Haunted Mansion Holiday is this year they just left them up there you can see them best from the Mark Twain or the Sailing Ship Columbia!

While I myself don’t enjoy NBC overlay , I respect most people do. However it just seems that the Mansion is just always behind walls and to make NBC happen the ride is classic mansion less and less. Not cool. But that’s me
Aloha Brickey..and Dave ove at FB thinks its going to be open and complete....welll I disagree with you both. I do think they have a shot at opening Tiannas by Holloween but the Mansion?
If you look at the permits JUST FILED it is for some underground work still not finished and the trellis work on the outside. If you look at Dave's construction videos the grade on the grounds is NOT EVEN SET yet and that must be set before anything can be done outside. I for one do not want to see them do a rush job of it like Toon Town and then go on fixing screw ups for a year. Madame Leona's will not be done when it DOSE open but that is an easy work around for them...unless..they are building it behind the sceens and then will bring it on stage by crane or truck...or...disaassemble it and bring it out and re build it on stage...
Haunted Mansion will not be open for this Holloween..soory becasue i am one of those that plans a trip around that ride and Holloween...

I'm one of the minority who wish Nightmare didn't start til after Halloween. Never been a fan of a Christmas themed Halloween time. Just me.
They don’t need the haunted mansion. They can just hang ugly Halloween decorations on the Main Street lamp posts.
