This 1950s heartthrob is a singer, songwriter, pianist, and actor, and he's married to another icon of the time, Sandra Dee. He doesn't do many movies, but Darrin did have a scene in the movie where he had a terrifying experience of taking drugs. He passed away too young from a heart attack.
I believe Darin was the most versatile entertainer of the 20th century. What he accomplished in his brief 37 years is nothing short of Legendary. Singer, musician, performer, actor, impressionist, songwriter, producer, music arranger, TV Show Host, entrepreneur, outdoorsman, activist. Legend has it that when he passed away he was in the middle of writing a movie script. The man truly did it all, and he did it all so well. One of a kind, Bobby.
Unique artist, sadly missed in today's dross...

Loved Bobby Darin, he had a wonderful voice. Sandra Dee was another favourite of mine. Such talent gone way too soon.💕

A very talented performer. I grew up up in Las Vegas back in the 50s-60s. Vega was a much, much smaller town back then. My father was a fireman and my mom had a beauty shop. My parents knew or had met Bobby and many other performers. Many played the lounge’s which back then were open and free. Nowadays your charged for everything. I was only a kid so I didn’t know much with regards to celebrities until I grew older. I remember meeting Red Skeleton as he purchased my donkey from my parents. He was a nice man and even took some time to talk with me.
A timeless talent , beyond the sea .
So sad. He was so gifted.
Darin had rheumatic fever as a child, which left his with a very bad heart. At 37, he had actually outlived his prognosis by about 10 years.
Sad ending. Pity they couldn't transplant his voice box. Could have done with it.

Bobby found out as an adult that his older sister was actually his real mother and the person he thought was his mother was actually his grandmother. He basically never got over the pain of finding that out.

Bobby would perform and he was using a oxygen tank after his performance. Bobby went in for surgery & never made it out . God Bless 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Mr. Darin was having an Aortic valve replaced.
This is where the truth becomes murky.
Supposedly, the Aortic valve was implanted upside down. He made it off the Heart/Lung machine and into ICU. There he began to fail.
He was rushed back into the OR, where they could not control the bleeding.
He expired in the operating room.
