I think it's back to armor for my next video, any ideas on what you'd like to see next? Even if it's not armor.
Even if itâs not next episode I would love to see leather dragon scale gloves!
Would be awesome to see something like a satchel belt.
I think a leather castle that holds your bottle of scotch in the keep and the glasses in the 4 towers in the corners. What do you think?
For me personally, I love to ride my motorcycle but keeping my phone, wallet and stuff in my pants pocket or jacket pocket gets kinda annoying. I would like to see you make a leg bag. One that I can access while still on the bike without much difficulty
I'd love to see a set of Roman Pturges
I have that shirt! Nice shirt I love it! So comfy!đ
Great to see you sir. And excellent new sponsor you got.
Very nicely done
I do the running stitching, too. I find it easier to assemble my projects with this method.
So do I whenever a saddle stitch isn't vital to the look of the stitch.
Round hole stitch projects don't matter. You can do whatever.
But if you're using diamond or angle slotted stitching chisels it's harder to get away with not using a saddle stitch.
I would love to see a leather helmet. You could make a series of it as it would take awhile to build.
YES! Love your videos!
Heya Levi!
How's retirement treating you?
The green painter's tape is pretty good for not leaving residue behind. I often use it to secure my paper to a board when I do watercolor paintings.
As long as you can see through it, need to be able to spot where to cut and punch.
@@DarkHorseWorkshop If its black on white, it should work.
Washi tape has less glue. Also consider sticking the masking / painter's tape to a clean piece of fabric (pant leg, sleeve) first to reduce some of the stickiness and avoid glue coming off on your project - learned that from Ali Manning of Vintage Page Designs, a handmade book expert.
I've got to admit, I love the fact that your patterns are sized for tall people! I'm almost 6ft myself.
I'd love to see your take on a book or notebook jacket!
The giants need stuff too.
@@DarkHorseWorkshop Hell yeah we do!
@@violetrayne7016 I'll be honest. I have no idea how to size stuff for small people....
I'm six foot five.
@@mcewenhandcraft And that is okay! We all start somewhere (not implying that you specifically are a beginner, just a general statement) and it makes the most sense we use our own measurements.
@@violetrayne7016 I'm not a beginner. But a lot of the things I make are not generally sized for smaller people. I've done a lot of Armour and stuff.. mostly for large folks.
And then I have also done a lot of accessory stuff that isn't size dependant. Knife sheaths ad wallets and such.
Belts are about the only thing I make a lot of that are easy enough to size lol.
I personally use Clear Tokonole, and found a little goes a long way on the few projects I actually finish. Mainly just a little bit on my finger. Hopefully this helps others and saves on mess and possible waste.
have you tried painters tape? it doesn't leave a residue on your material, less sticky, and in transparent enough to see your lines. colors re green and blue. hope this helps.
First!!!
Nice bag!
I'd be keen to see your take on a Cuirass!
You are not the first to suggest that to him.
If he doesn't get off his butt and do it then maybe I will...
@@mcewenhandcraft haha I think I've said it to him on another video before too.
Great project as always. I was wondering what leather are you using in this video?
That is one gorgeous satchel bag. Thanks for all you do. I
Glad you enjoyed it.
A viking dog collar like a massive one at least 4" wide for like a irish wolfhound
đđđđđSupremo!
Great video Magnus! I think Iâm going to make this one for my girls. Youâve always helped me so much and I really enjoy your videos. Guess Iâll go spend some money in your shop. As for the next video...how about some everyday wear armor? Most armor pieces canât be worn daily, but what if there was one that was?
Hey thatâs an awesome piece of armor...HOLY S#!& thatâs a ______!
Awesome video, as always, Sir Magnus! Cheers from Silverhart.
Lord Branden mac Alun
I would like to see a castle made of leather that holds your bottle of scotch in the keep and the glasses in the 4 corners of the towers. That would be something I would like to make.
My first time with you.....any particular reason you don't saddle stitch? Saludos.
Great work! Looks like I've got a new pattern to buy! What kind of leather thickness do you recommend for this satchel? 5/6 oz? Veg tan?
Ya, it was 6oz, good eye. Vegetan maybe, doesn't have to be. This was a chrome.
@@DarkHorseWorkshop do you find chrome to be more pliable/flexible as opposed to veg?
I donât mean do be a poop here, but strongly consider doing the saddle stitch vs. running stitch, kids. Youâre getting a superior stitch, learning a new skill, and itâs exhilarating to cinch a stitch down when tensioning both needles before starting next stitch. Nice, nice bag!
Always good to have various skills and use what works best for your projects for sure.
What weight leather did you use?
Nice project, what weight and type of leather did you use? Cheers from Australia đđ»đđ»
6oz, not sure on the mm conversion.
@@DarkHorseWorkshop cheers mate đđ»

I think there is a pricing typo on the Thread Zapper in your amazon store. It is double the price of other vendors.
Could be, will investigate. Cheaper the better.
Do you do any workshops in person ? I need hands on . Thank you!
No sorry, these are my workshops. Haha
@@DarkHorseWorkshop Famn!! Donât get me wrong , I love your videos !
Magnus doesn't really have the space for a good learning environment.
If you look at his walk through tour you can see his space is not huge. .
what kind of press was that?
It's a large foot pedal powered press. Free standing.
He used to have the red press from Tandy.
But when he upgraded he sold the old one to me. đđđ
@@mcewenhandcraft ok, i was just curious the cost of the foot one he has since it wasn't put in the product links
@@KiltedBlackDragon I'm not sure. But check his shop tour video I think he shows it there in better detail.
How come you look younger in your newer videos
Not sure, there was a small spree where I was dying my beard a bit?
Next video : How to make leather Human
The Japanese are doing that.
You are getting younger bro
Ritual sacrifices have picked up.
Great videos! Why don't you add some quiet music to the background? It would give the video some nice body and would make the little pauses between your explanations less empty. Might be my internet-corrupted brain but complete silence in a video can be a bit unsettling to me.
There's music, I just had it too quiet this time for some reason
