One thing I have noticed over the years in this country is that we love miracles a lot. Same reasons many pastors remain stinkingly rich in this country while the followers dine in abject poverty. But still, same followers will give every little amount they get to the same pastor in search of miracles.
The major essence of the planned protest was to call the government attention to the level of the unbearable hardship in the process of the government acclaimed ongoing reforms in the country.
My question is this, do we expect a reform without some level of hardship after the number of years this country has been in the pit? Do we think the reform will come overnight?
Yes, we do not expect it to be this tough. Could we remember when Sanusi Lamido Sanusi said "it will be tough" ?
The major fault I found in the process is the people in governance not showing some replica of understanding of the situation in their governmental spendings.... I believe this protest call will surely caution a lot of that going forward.
However, some defiantly rigid persons in this country standing firm saying its either a protest or nothing, personally to me seems to be having more motives beyond pushing of the government to ease the pain in the Land, in the ongoing reforms. I believe if Tinubu did a miracle overnight and things get eased up, I am sure those same people will still say they want to protest. It's not the greatness of the country that matters to them the most, but they rather prefer to be seen as been right for not wanting TINUBU to be president. They just want to say, "YOU SEE WE ARE RIGHT, OUR CANDIDATE IS BETTER". Can that be defined as patriotism as well? Must your candidate win to support a government policy? Some Nigerians 🤦🏼‍♂️.
No government official has denied the right of the people to protest, but a reasonable person will know that with the level of insecurity presently in the country, it's absolutely not the most suiting move to make at this point in time 🤷🏼‍♂️....
I firmly support putting the government on their toes to do the right things, but we surely need to be reasonable.
I can't fault many Nigerians as well though, we've been let down by government regimes beyond comprehension.....
We shall all see how this ends...
    🇳🇬 God Bless Nigeria 🇳🇬

The truth is nobody is trying to cause crisis. It's the government that don't understand the basics. It's very important to behave like leaders. Leadership is not welding gun. It been seen as fair . The country government has a wrong idea about leadership. They have been badly wounded in the last election because they are still fighting legitimacy issue which they are not handling with intelligence. It important to point it out that every protest that was lead to crisis in the past are funded by government. I can tell you for free Endsar was engineered by government machinery who are bent on stopping the protest. They started by introducing armed criminals to fight the protesters. Which will definitely lead to crisis. In 2012 they call GEJ every kind of name during the protest. They didn't expect GEJ to respond with force. What is hunting them is their own past.
The greatest problem the administration have is in a 220m with 93m registered voters. With less than 22m casting their vote and the president won with about 8m vote which about 37% of total vote casted. Less than 9% of total registered voters. Less than 4% of total population. All this number is fighting the government. They are running a minority of the minority government like a government of majority. They are running government by impulse using palliative economic solutions. They are short of idea. All their decisions are reactive in nature.

The question to the SDP leader is why is it that the complain about the president not being accessible is coming only the political leaders in the northern part of the country when in fact their own person is the Vice President which gives them an edge over any other person? How accessible was President Buhari to Nigerians when he was in office? The fact that this complain is coming mostly from political leaders in the north stands very suspicious. As a political leader of the SDP you should have access to sharing your ideas as to the policies of the government either directly or through your representative at the national level. In fact you should be ashamed of acknowledge hunger in the Northern part of the country where the rest part of the country had benefited from the agricultural sector. The insecurity in the north that stop farmers from carrying out their normal farming activities is not caused by people from other part of the country and yet the guest fails to acknowledge that. Nigerians called for palliatives to cushion the impact of the fuel subsidy removal, an exercise that has become victim of the economic situation as a temporary measure. It is easier to run back and forth the television studio to identify and complain about what the government is not doing, charity begins at home. What has the3 SDP leaders and his member done single handedly to justify their effort? Regarding the president speaking to the nation, it makes sense but he must carry out an extensive consultation with stake holders which is what he has been doing to have substance in an address to the nation when he decides to. Seun your guest know what you are talking about when you ask him if if will be at the protest and he has said it all if will not be there and yet he has so much discontent with the administration. The politicians use the youth as a shield. Why would your guest allow members of his own party to take the risk to participate but he will not lead by example?

ALHAJI Gabon God bless you for this great analysis. The problem of this administration is that many incompetent people are in government. Gbajabiamila took up the job he cannot do. Ajuri the presidential spokesperson suppose to have been relieved of his post because he’s not qualified to be on that sit and many ministers

Instead of these traditional rulers seat Tinubu and co down and advise them of the hunger waves in their respective domain, they allowed the same people to be using them to panic the nation. What do you expect, he who play the piper dectate the tune.

Mare declaration of protest by the youth, the govt is jitry.....it means the rulling class is not doing the right thing. Clear conscience fears no accusations. The police and law enforcement agencies should provide enabling environment for the protesters and ensure it js not hijacked. Protest is the right of the citenzs and threats should not be issued out in order not stoke fire. May the Lord bless Nigeria

Our politicians should stop manipulating our youths. The same politicians that pressured the current government to derail from providing buses to given palliatives are the same people now condemn ppalliatives. Now they are asking for experience but, the same people want youth and women in government yet they don’t want inexperienced (because it will take them 2years to catch up according to Alhaji Gabam/SDP) . We all want fresh hands but, we also want experience hands. Can our politicians please stop talking from both sides of their mouth. Anyway, my appeal is that all this distractions has to stop . Let’s review every policy carefully and not hypocritically. Also let’s encourage whistleblower to speak up in the civil service and not cover up and collaboration in crime as we currently witness yet they will be the first to condemn government actions and leak essential documents to the press
