the Osram W2 is far from my favorite emitter, but Hank makes an outstanding product. like all of them. the man deserves every penny he is sent. his customer service is beyond reproach, and his products are amazing. his lights may not be perfect for every use case, but the ones he makes are in their own category for edc items.

Say what you want about many Chinese products, but these are quality pieces at reasonable pricing with outstanding customer service. The man is greatly respected in the flashlight enthusiast community for a reason. If more companies were run the way he runs his there would be a lot less stigma regarding Chinese made products.

I ordered the exact same Hanklight about a week ago! Green D4SV2 with the W2 6000k emitter! I added the SS bezel and the magnetic tail cap. I requested Anduril 2 as well.
If you own an Android or have computer skills definitely grab a flasher cause it's really nice to update on your own. New Anduril features come out quite often 😉
@@ronrenfros4757 It's a little programming board you can buy from Hank or Jackson to install software updates to the light via it's programming pogo pins. I use my android to flash my Hank lights but you can use a PC too.

I have the same light, same emitters, but in the cyan color. I don't have the 26350 tube and battery. I opted for the 26800 tube and battery instead. It feels better in one's hand and battery lasts much longer.
Do you remember if yours had the boost driver in it? I admittedly ordered my first D4V2 with the boost driver without knowing fully what that entailed, but now realizing I might have dodged a bullet with the overheating issue.
I am not really sure but the heat regulation can be adjusted if you want to make it last longer on turbo but I have not heard of any issues with it otherwise leaving it stock. Thanks for watching!
I have two D4K with W2. One with the boost driver. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. The light runs cooler, can maintain a significantly higher output, and the supposed drawbacks are hardly noticeable. I'll be buying another boost driver light once all of my Hank orders come in. @@CharlesBridgTec while driving I might pass open fields so far but in the woods I fear a throw flashlight might make it too bright to photograph I don't know.. some good lights I came across were the thrunite catapult v6, thrunite tc20 and fenix tk16 v2 I wish you had the tk16 to compare it to the thrunites.
Nice light. Ever since 21700 cell options became available, and that they are very close to 26650 capacity, I've pretty much moved away from 26650 cells/lights. Definitely a nice light though!
From the videos you have done it looks like it has similar brightness and beam profile to a mf02s xhp70. Would you agree it is at least approaching that?

When you swapped in the SS bezel, you left the glass lens in the original bezel. I suspect that’s why you had the gap.
