The fact that it is HDR, IPS AND 4K in such a small price point, makes this an absolute best buy
Speaking of Best Buy... saw this on their website and it caught my eye. Currently $250 new, daily sale, or $220 for an Excellent condition open box... very tempting to have something smaller I could mount over my bed so I can lay on my back while watching something or casually gaming on a controller. If I hadn't just bought a 55" 4kTV a few months ago I'd probably jump on this deal.
@@Galiant2010 I mean monitors are different to a TV, you wont get that movie watching experience on a monitor like on your TV. So, just wait and buy this one too but for gaming
Just brought this monitor yesterday and wasn't overly sure today if I purchased wisely but your informative review confirmed this is a very good monitor for my computer . Many thanks.
I have this and just had my pc built today. It's absolutely beautiful! Worth every penny. Im so glad I went for this. 4k res is a huge help for graphic designers like me.
@@ahmadammarAB hi! Yes it does, but for some reason, the output is really bad. You can barely hear the sound too. But when I plugged it in directly to my computer, it's 10x better. Not sure if it's just my speaker or cable tho.
I'm going to buy for graphic and photo editing so glad to hear your comment 👍 this looks very good.
@@celestialmaeden sorry for the late reply, but would you mind telling me if this screen is reflective or has any glare from other light sources? Thanks.
@@james8bit420 It has an anti-glare/matte (3H) coating. If you see some reflection, it’s gonna be super faint that you can hardly ever notice it at all.
Great review man. Probably the best one for this monitor. Thinking about buying it although I don’t need it and currently do not have the horsepower to game on it as it is $230 now. Gonna use it for gaming primarily
This monitor is amazing! I had a pic between this and the BenQ EL27OU and had then side by side. OMG it was night and day. This blew the BENQ out the water. I was really trying to give the BENQ a chance due to all the positive reviews but it couldn't hold a candle to this Samsung. Plus the bezel less design on this looks so premium. I'm so happy I went with this one.
Thats exactly what im picking between for next gen console gaming..what was the biggest difference ?
Thank you so very much for this nice and well-done review! I am just about to purchase this monitor and your review was most helpful! Wishing you all the best! Stay safe and healthy! Best regards from Sweden!
Thank you so much, you having experience with the older TN version of this really helped me. Thanks!
Got this to put on top of my 27inch 1440p curved one.
I use this monitor together with a macbook pro for my blender and software development work, and I gotta say... what a beast.
So nice to watch a review that provides examples for non-gaming use. 💯⭐️✨
Yea. It covers the « general purpose monitor » users. Like me for instance.
Thanks! All points checked!
nice review dude, thanks
I think the price is very good for what you actually get and I am also not too concerned about the fact that is doesnt deliver 144hz because most Systems Arent even able to put 144 fps out especially at a 4k Resolution. I will be playing forza on this at about 55-60 FPS at max Settings so it makes sense for me ;) good Video
Amazing review ❤️
Great review
Great video!
a year and half later I still recommend, just picked this bad boy up and is a god send for Python programming and more haha
Looks great
Great review! I was thinking about changing from my LG TV to this monitor to play games on my PS4 Pro and for the upcoming PS5 and you just convinced!
@Scream I just got It for Ps5 myself.
The only main con of this monitor its that It wont be "the best" (4ms response its really good but 1ms its even better) you can get for FPS but apart from that its a really solid option, 4k and 60 fps its all i need for PS5, some games might come out for 4k and 120fps but i dont think its worth paying 150/200 extra bucks for a monitor that supports 144Ghz. Its important to note that 1ms response its the best for FPS BUT those monitors tend to give problems in the long term (Due to low quality components) and their panels arent IPS (Which its the best one in my opinion)
I've been using this monitor for the last week on PS4 Pro and the results are outstanding, colors look great, the Game mode improves games from even 12 years ago (Fallout 3 and New Vegas in my case), as a casual FPS player that focuses more on singleplayer games (But enjoys a good multiplayer game like Battlefield) i think this was the best option for the next 5/6 years.
@Scream in that case yeah, you will be happy with this monitor, i've been playing AC Odyssey and Origins, Fallout 4 and Need for Speed Heat and the results are great, Odyssey even looks like other game with all that color and definition.
I recommend enabling game mode (Improves definition and colors) + brightness at 50 (Thats just personal, you can go a little bit up or down) and HDR only when the game its compatible (Odyssey looks worse with HDR enabled, for example)
@@PeRiCoPeRiQuiTo97 I bought this monitor yesterday as a PS5 preparation. My cousin is an IT guy for years now and he convinced me that for ps5 specs this monitor is very nice with 4K and 60fps. Also the ms delay is not noticeable for ps5 he says.
@@Knorrio 4ms its really good anyways, you are getting the quality of some very good monitors for around 325 euros here in Spain, for me It was between this one and a Samsung (I dont remember the exact model) which was more cheaper but have another panel (I think it was AV)
@@PeRiCoPeRiQuiTo97 how's it possible that ac odyssey looks worse with hdr
Thanks for the video. I purchased this monitor today. It was very useful video. Can you tell me any recommended settings for this monitor? I'm using it for photo/video editing work, Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the review! is your display scaled to 125%? it looks amazing
Thanks for review. Monitor came today and I’m impressed with sharpness and image quality. I was a little bit worried about brightness as some people mentioned it in comments but now i know it’s not a case. The only con is VESA mount. You will have to use spacer if you have 75x75 and 100x100 VESA arm.
@@vmorgs1 so it doesnt fit well just like on video was shown but it does not cause any problem?
Dude, have you ever heard of volume equalization? Damn this video was in autoplay from youtube and the intro music blew my headphones
Just got it i love it god dam its good 4k HDR is so good ❤❤❤💯
Quick question. Im thinking of getting this mainly for movies. How's 4K mkv or .ts files movies? Is it good? Or even 4K youtube videos?
Can you see person's wrinkles good? Or still can just see the matte skin tone.
@@tinabates542 Yeah i just wana know how the quality is. When some brands say 4K monitor, it still isn't that great of a 4K.
If I get a 4k Monitor I wana see the actual person's wrinkles and nose pores LOL.
@@mr8883 the bigger you go up in size the bigger pixels are so some 4k monitors that are smaller look amazing i had a 4k lg at 24 " it did look better than a big 4k screen I settled for 28 " for gaming and moves looks good 👍
hello. did you callibrate your monitor to work with photo/video? if so, care to share the settings you have yours? thanks! great review :)
Very helpful thanks
Hi, did you have to purchase any bracket spacers, or does the ATUMTEK gas spring monitor arm not require spacers to fit onto this particular monitor's (75x75) vesa bracket?
Thanks in advance
Thank you. I know what to get for my new computer set up now. My problem now is the brain, I want to have a lot of memory and things to do it on it.
Great video! I think I'm gonna buy this monitor actually
I actually bought the 4k s70a instead so can't give an opinion on this one. But the s70a works great!
@kaikaih I don't really know, I guess I thought that because it was just realesed, that it would be better but don't remember anything on paper specifically that made me change my mind. But the aesthetic is nicer on the s70a though.
Wait. How did you get it to tilt because my stand won't allow it to tilt???
Edit: Hehe uh nevermind I wasn't pushing it hard enough 😅 scared I might break something..
Love bro I just came here expecting for you to explain if it's possible to add a different monitor arm(as I've seen some monitors models that only allow the one that came with it) Ty
I accidentally said 95% RGB instead of "99.5% sRGB" 😂
But actually, you should say that this monitor has Wide Color Gamut with 90% of DCI-P3 ;)
Where did you get the color coverage data? I'm considering exchanging it for an LG 27UK650-W since it does not fit my VESA arm and the LG supposedly offers better HDR. Rtings.com says the sRGB coverage on the LG is 98.5-98.9%. Is the Samsung better in this regard, or is the measurement simply less accurate?
Hi! Is there some kind of trick to removing the Monitor stand or do you just push it down?
Pretty stoked, just got this for $260 from best buy.
Enjoy bro. Mine will be here on Wednesday, same deal from BB. :-)
Ive got this coming tomorrow, thanks for the review dude but can you give me a link to your desktop light , it's awesome!!
Good review. Should I pick Samsung UR55 or Dell S2721Q monitor? Please help.
What's the best color settings you think would look good for this monitor? Also what speakers are you using?
Where did you get those risers for vesa mount backplate? I already have a stand and those risers would be really helpful.
love your review! Would you pls share the name of the TV-looking clock? it looks really cool!
What settings are you using? I just got one, and the colors are a bit saturated. Great video!
When you play on game mode does it sometimes make your screen change brightness or colors sometimes look washed out
At 199$ at best buy, this is a steal...so good i bought 2.
Good video, but I expected to see closer the pixel density and the differents % scale of a view that windows allow to use, honestly, that's the only reason I want to buy a 4K monitor, giving the jump from 1080p to 4K, would be really good also to see at the same time a Full HD monitor with this one, to appreciate the difference between the pixel density, and finally how truly is the fact that having one of this monitors is like having 4 1080p monitors, if it feels like ok or too small for human eyes
Were you intending to use something other than human eyes to watch the monitor? 😉😁
Your comment sealed me🤣 because realistically human eyes won’t see this and if whatever application you’re doing requires it then you probably have the money for a better monitor
Cool video. But could anyone tell me what's the model of the desk lamp in the background 😂 look pretty cool as well
Whats the difference between the ur28r550uqr and ur28r550uqu?
Also, whats the difference between the ur28r550 series and the 552/554 ones?
To enable hdr is it enough to simply enable hdr in the windows settings or do you also have to enable a setting within the monitor menu? (if so, I can't find the setting)
I'm getting the QLED 8k for the long term...this is for my PS5 gaming.
Seems like I can't access the Samsung brightness and a few picture features. How to fix it?

Want to use this monitor with one hdmi connected to my laptop for work and the other to my Xbox so want to optimise picture settings for working on one source and gaming on the other, do you know if the monitor settings can be fixed individually for each of the 2 sources or would I have to manually change the settings when switching sources
I cannot find the link for the monitor arm that puts spacing between the bracket and monitor?
What are your color settings I just bought this and I have the contrast/brightness/sharpness set the same as yours and it looks great but the colors seem a bit off.
Not a fan of the joystick it's a pain to get it to work any tips? I just got mine but I honestly would have preferred a remote or some arrow keys for navigation
Which one you think is better Samsung UH850 or the Ur55? Who has the better colors and overall image.
I'm curious what is the "Eye Saver Mode"? Is it similar to "Flux" or other Blue Light Blocking apps? ...or is "Color" where someone would change the settings to be blocking the blue light out?
Does this monitoring has motion blur in playing PS5? thanks
QUESTION: You think this monitor can be used with a Mac Studio for photo/video editing?
I have just bought one from Amazon Warehouse Deals (in the description, AFAICR, it only says there should be some light scratches on the back, all the rest is supposed to be perfect), may I ask what was in the box, just to be sure nothing is missing? Is there an user manual? And, above all, a HDMI and/or display port cable? Are them (if included) fit for 4k HDR contents or do I have to buy a better cable (and hdmi 2.1 8k certified cable, for instance)? Thank you.
Looks great. Anyone know what the bezel size is?
Got it from Currys for £199 for that price it's an absolute steal now to test that 4k 60 out
Same here. HDR feels a bit basic because no local dimming and only HDR10 but for that price point that is to be expected - just need to get used to it on games.
@@PrysterZ Well I came from a 1080p 30hz laptop so pretty much anything would look amazing to me so to me it looks pretty incredible when I’m playing my current gen games on PS4 from my experience I know some people don’t think the HDR feature is that great but I don’t mind it the colours are still fine. The settings it has are sufficient for what I use it for the only problem I’d say is think about if you want to mount it somewhere before you just put the stand it comes with on because it doesn’t come off which I found out the hard way. Sorry this was kind of lengthy but that’s about it since 4K 120 won’t be properly supported for a while this is about as good as it gets for the price.
Havr you got a link for the monitor arm you use or can you recommend me one to purchase

Currently, the Dell S2721QS model comes with a price of 250 euros and the S3221QS model 350 euros. Which one would you recommend considering this situation? My only concern for 27 ”is the scaling problem of Windows, so if I use it at 150% because the texts are too small, will my image look worse than the 4K 32 inch model? Or will it have a disadvantage? Or as an IPS panel or VA panel, which is the better choice for a quality display? Otherwise, should I pay 100 Euros more and go for the 32 ”model?
