furio the legend has entered the show
1:52 “Janice is Janicing.” spot-on! Such insight. I think you’re the Dr. Melfi of Sopranos Reactors.
"Furio great with people, good man"
Than he beat the shit of everyone lol
hahahah i got too ahead of myself!
@@CristyReacts Technically, his crowd control skills for being ONE MAN was very very impressive
Love these reactions! Wish more people reacted to the Sopranos.
Being young, some of the joke references are before your time, like when Paulie called Frank Sinatra Jr., "chair-boy of the board" and Silvio called the kid with the broom, "Hazel".
Frank Sinatra was know as the "Chairman of the board", while "Hazel" was a TV sitcom about a maid.
Chapter 11 is a legal bankruptcy procedure and typically a way for a business to still operate during debt negotiations.
Thanks for chapter 11 explanation
"Chapter 11" is shorthand for one of the types of bankruptcy.
All the best from Scotland guys. 🏴
"Remember when I said he was a good man." Had me laughing
hahahahah sometimes he seems nice, yknow haha
Artie didn't loan Davie the money cause he knew he wouldn't have got a single penny back, nothing to do with Tony.
I must have watched this series all the way through at least ten times, but watching you watch it is almost like watching it for the first time again.
Aw, this is definitely the best kind of comment. This is why I do this!! So people that want to experience it again, can do it vicariously through me. So, thank you so much for watching and following along:)
I used to edit a podcast and I'll just say, even though it's tedious, the sax is worth it.
19:17 😂😂😂
There's an old Richard Pryor comedy bit where he talks about working in a mafia-owned club; he mentions how these guys can go from affable/friendly & funny to stone-faced & deadly in a split second. Gandolfini and the guy who plays Richie do a fantastic job of portraying this: warm, charming cracking jokes one minute, ice-cold killer dead eyes the next.
Exactly! One second I think he's nice, and the next I fear him!!
“You could have had a wonderful day in the ocean, and instead you grabbed someone’s testicles” I hear that all the time 😔
hahahahah
My new favorite Sopranos reactions - Keep 'em coming! 🌟🌟🌟
Aw, thank you!! Okay, more to come asapppp!
"Janice is Janicing" LMAO
Yep. That was actually Frank Sinatra Jr. 😃
Tony wasn't complaining about having to provide for Meadow. He was complaining about her being unappreciative and taking it for granted.
She was right to call him out on that. Not only is it a shitty thing he did but also how is it going to look for meadow when she shows up to school in her friends car?
And the bullshit about him providing for her has nothing to do with, she never asked to be born for for Tony to make his money that way. At her current age she literally has no choice and it’s unfortunate she has to depend on her criminal dad potentially ruining her friends life for support.
Or she'd have a -- GASP!!! -- ordinary middle-class life.@@FloridaMugwump
Yes, that's pretty obvious. The fallacy that Tony leans into is the false dichotomy of "life of luxury" vs. "living in the bus station," as if those were the only two options and a life without ill-gotten luxuries afforded by crime was completely out of the question. Tony was obviously out of line by trying to give Meadow her friend's car, and throwing all that in her face (as if she had any say in the matter) was the reaction of a bruised ego that had been rightfully called out.@@FloridaMugwump
Yes Furio is the terminator. And I have a theory why you like him. It’s because the actor who plays him (Federico Castelluccio) is such a great & likable guy... his real personality comes thru even if he’s playing a villain. Seriously... look this guy up. He’s actually not an actor by trade... he was (& is) a very accomplished painter. Listen to him speak in his real voice & you’ll be stunned how nice & smart he is.
I’m not sure why or what part he was auditioning for on the Sopranos. But I remember he wasn’t picked but he impressed David Chase so much he created the Furio character just to get him on the show.
He was auditioning for a part of a mob guy from Italy.
Ahhh interesting!!! Yeah he gives me the impression of a regular nice guy. I love it when characters are created around specific actors.
Lol i can't lie. Sometimes, just sometimes I do get a little annoyed with how many of us have to get coddled by a therapist just to het through the damn day lol.
But "waddya gonna do"? A lotta ppl don't know what to do with themselves and I feel for them.
Awesome reaction again!
I’ve watched most of the Sopranos reactions that are out there. You are the best because you’re just so invested in the characters. That’s exactly the way I was about 20 years ago when I first started watching! Please, if you can, do this whole series! 🙂💯
Thanks Charles! Yes, that's definitely the plan, to continue watching it all the way through. Love it so far, I'm too invested to stop now!
great reaction Cristy.
Another two awesome episodes done! Furio is definitely someone you don't want to cross, and Janice is always stirring s#@% up. Even if it means getting her older brother clipped as a result. Great reaction Cristy! Can't wait until your next one! ❤
Speaking of being married to the mob, that reminds me of some mob-related comedies.
Married to the Mob (1988)
Analyze This (1999) (It gets mentioned in this show. 🤣)
Analyze That (2002)
Yes, that was totally Frank Sinatra Jr. Too cool.
I love Richie's character arc in season 5 the show runners really know how to write complex villains
Season 5?
@@bustercolin7507season 6*
Thanks so much for sharing these videos and your thoughts. It's really interesting to hear your insight into these characters as you learn about them. Really looking forward to more and seeing how you feel about stuff moving forward.
"I mean, they pay, right?"
Kind of? Eventually?
Tony has a tab, but we see several times throughout the series that he doesn't regularly pay it. Artie has to assume he'll be paid someday, but that could be months, if he's even paid at all. And he can't really complain, because Tony is...Tony.
Charmaine knows Artie's being taken advantage of yet again (which is particularly galling in times where business is struggling and they don't have the thousands of dollars Tony has racked up), and doesn't much care for it.
Tony and Co. are not paying Artie...They're running a tab...$$$
oh nooooo!! what??? Tony has enough $$ to pay artie, especially after he was the one who blew up Vesivius
You do such nice work Cristy.
19:17 When you were saying he’s such a good man I just started laughing cause I knew what was about to happen in a few minutes. 😂
8:35 this was filmed I believe in the early 2000s I forget what year but it shows exactly that history tends to repeat itself👀
Yeah, it’s also an ongoing issue between the two countries.
It isn’t repeating itself... it’s been ongoing for decades just like Russia and Ukraine
They’re paying for protection from the sopranos. Give me money and I won’t hurt you
Johnny Sack, short for Sacrimoni. Not Sax.
Ha Cristy👋, ready for 2 Great Episodes🙌🙌🙌
Furio putting in that work
Happy New Year Cristy, have a happy and healthy 2024!
*how me with your Sopranos reactions is*
"Like the pimp says to his hos, keep em coming"
hahahah! they're coming!
I'm always late answering questions, but chapter 11 is bankruptcy. The only bad thing i have to say is this went too quickly. When the episode ended right before Meadow was going to sing I thought that was the end of the 1st episode and that the 2nd was about about to start. I was very bummed out when you started your recap and i realized it was over. Great job as always, and i can't wait for the next two!
It's a good sign that you were left wanting more! But I understand how annoying it is to have to wait a full week before the next one. I'm sorry! :/
@@CristyReacts Thanks Cristy, I think I’ll survive 😉. It was just that brief moment of “ I’m so glad there is another episode!” Then to immediately realize, “ Ah crap, it’s over.”
Thank you!!
Regarding the Tony and Meadow argument. Meadow likes to have the nice clothes andall the other immaterial things, but she got strung up when it affected her friend. Meadow knows what her father is. I think Tony laid down the truth at that point. I am not saying that was the best way to handle the situation, and giving Meadow a car that was her friend was a dick move. At the end of the day Tony brings home the bacon. Anyone in that family cannot complain when something happens that they disagree with, because they are all under the same brush.
That last scene? Thats chris, signing his death certificate
@38:02 Chapter 11 is filing for bankruptcy
Chapter 11 is bankruptcy. Hence Tony not buying that. You can't really erase money owed to the mob by filing for bankruptcy.
Yay! 😃
I wanna write for the movies, Goodfellas s*** like that. Another nod to Goodfellas as the actor who plays Chrissy played Spider in Goodfellas 😊
Sunday, my house, bag of Yuca balls on the counter. Fuckin empty. You think I don’t know it was you?
Hahahhahahaha 🙊
Another great reaction. Just curious does the the tattoo on your shoulder say 'resilience'?
Thanks John! Yes, it says resilience :)
Actually Tony doesn't pay. He has a huge tab at the restaurant.
Thanks for calling out the shitty things parents say to their kids. It’s so true!
Alan Alda, best known for his role in M*A*S*H, is also known as a sensitive man of the 70s. Phil Donahue, a pioneering daytime TV talk show host, mentored Oprah Winfrey.
Can someone tell me what that hand thing on the shelf is behind her.. I’m hoping it’s not what I think it is😂😂
Chapter 11 = filing for bankruptcy
I love the tats btw Cristy 💜
❤🤗
Yay
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
"I like Furio, he's good with people."
*five seconds later*
18:35
Hahaha definitely got ahead of myself there. But hey, he still seems like such a nice guy outside of being a psycho killer haha
Around 17:38
“Why are you giving him so much power, Melfi?”
Tony or her therapist? I’m confused 😎
I think Dr. Melfi is giving Tony too much power over her emotions. She’s all bent out of shape for him, but he has changed so much since they last saw each other. And the power dynamics shifted in that relationship.
@@CristyReacts gotcha, just curious
In real life the mob in the USA are more low key,in Italy everyone sees you they know your in the mob and they are more ruthless and don't care about hurting or killing civilians to get the job done
Yes, couldn’t agree with you more! Furio was good with everyone. He was even for gender equality, that’s why his hands were rated E for Everyone could get it!
I guess that’s a good thing you don’t know what chapter 11 means 😂
Ha! Someone said it was banckrupcy, so I guess you're right! ahaha
Basically, Chris was too scared of delving into his own feelings to be able to succeed as an actor.
I'm really impressed that you remembered Johnny Sack's name.
I don't have any therapists, but if I did that's EXACTLY how I would treat them.
Nope.. they don't pay
you advocating for richie to get out of the show is natural but davey should have died after richie saw him at the game only reason he alive is because he owed tony money
You have a roof over your head and food .. clothes etc. Yeah Hispanic parents always say bullshit like that all the time ! 😒🇺🇸🇲🇽🇮🇹🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🍉🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Bullshit? 🤔
