4:00... The "even if there's some good ones" line is a reference to the Cathar crusade in France. There was a town of really early "Protestants" who were massacred to keep their beliefs from spreading. The idea was that God would know those who were heretics, and those who were martyrs.
Much like this line, in reference to crooked cops.

5:23 You mentioning that got me thinking, have you ever listened to the legendary band System of a Down before? they and RATM are always the first ones that pop into mind when you mention political and serious songs/bands in Metal. Check out System of a Down's song Prison Song, its their album opener of their biggest album ''Toxicity'' (year 2001). Zack is almost RTJ's 3rd member, they are absolute brothers. There are 2 more tracks RTJ has with Zack, Ju$t and Kill your masters.

If you like music with a message, check out Anti-Flag. They're a political punk band that has toured with Rage Against the Machine and has some records produced, and had guest appearances by Tom Morello. Start with "Laugh. Cry. Smile. Die.", "Hate Conquers All", "Christian Nationalist", "Racists", "Press Corpse". All of their songs have great messages.
2nd Anti-Flag, and want to slap on some Dead Kennedy's. "Police Truck" or "Riot" are as relevant today as in the 80's.

Powerful video. I think it represents the struggle between cops and the black community. They are both tired of fighting, they’re probably going to fight tomorrow after getting up. I don’t know. LaKeith Stanfield and Shea Whigham were the actors. They did amazing. Nice little tip in there if you get pepper sprayed, get some milk. Killer Mike killed this one. Yeah, don’t even get me started. I do like Zach’s bars though. Some nice Miles Davis references and Blade Runner references. EL-P was nice in the first verse. He was one of my favorite rappers growing up (Check out Company Flow.) Def Jux was a nice label, too. I’m glad he found Killer Mike, they fit together so well.

EL-P was a roommate of Zacks early on and given Killer Mikes political views partly lining up with Zacks, (as well as with LaKeith Stanfields, the actor in the video, known from many political tv-shows and movies), yeah, there's a reason Zack is called the unofficial third member of RTJ.
