Being famous is both a blessing and a curse. Just because you're rich and famous, does not mean you won't be lonely or feel happy. Ironically, worldwide recognition can make you feel alone. Yeah it sounds like he wishes someone had warned him about the lifestyle but he probably would not have listened either. The remix just accentuates how people don't really listen to the lyrics and meaning just the beat telling them it's positive or negative. I think the life is a bit glorified too but if you are a singer or musician than that's what you do just if you are a cobbler you fix shoes. Most don't even notice the Bob Dylan reference of the video either listen to all his sad songs but hey he's a Nobel prize winner I doubt Mike ever will be that.

This was the song that made me fall in love with Mike's music. I still remember listening to the remix on the radio back in 2017 and was intrigued by the lyrics enough to search up the artist. I fell into a rabbit hole of his music and artistry and have been a huge fan ever since. I got to meet him after his concert, and he was so kind to everyone at the meet & greet there. I'm hoping I can see him live again soon.

Spot on. Lyrical music has a message, remixes do not. That's all EDM music for you. Completely unauthentic, and it just plays on people's heart rate by using scientifically studied sound waves that people are bound to enjoy, then they mix it up over and over again and call it a new song. They're all the same, and while I can't lie that they're catchy, they aren't deep or authentic enough to understand the message of the author/song.

Heard the remix when I was 11, now just listening to this at 19. A lot has changed, and funnily enough the two different versions of the song also reflect two different stages of my life.
This song is so much more meaningful when it's like this. The faster remix seems to glorify a life of risks and drugs and being rich and famous at a cost and not caring about how it affects yourself and others, but this just shows so many more emotions and regrets behind the decisions made and makes it seem like he actually cares vs the remix

Honestly I think the seeb Remix adds a kind of hollowness to the song. It does go faster but that's kind of emulating the exact style of dance songs that no one cares about the lyrics of to kind of emphasis how shallow his life feels.

Alot late but in a Logan Paul podcast. He talked about his money drying up from his work and even though he was releasing songs. They weren't hits. Kept getting lower and lower. Till he went to Sweden to record with aviicii and then attended a live concert. He felt low and alone. And took a random pill. Got high and felt like crap the next day.
