    Bigger is better right? #BMW has been in desperate need of an SUV larger than the current X5 and for 2019, they finally get that exact vehicle. This is the new flagship SAV of their lineup, the all-new 2019 #BMWX7. Riding on a modified X5 platform and stretched out by over 9 inches in overall length, this BMW #X7 should have the chops to go toe to toe with the best from Mercedes, Lincoln, Land Rover, and Cadillac.

    Happy Friday everyone! We were actually a lot more impressed with the new BMW X7 more than we anticipated. This is truly a rival to the equally pricey Lincoln Navigator and way above the league for the current Cadillac Escalade and Mercedes-Benz GLS. That being said, we will be driving and reviewing the all-new 2020 GLS next month. Until then, let us know your thoughts about the new X7 below!

    You certainly have one of the better reviews on this BMW, including the latest X7. The X7 is something that I’ve never heard of before, so I decided to let the user say it for itself rather than comment too much further for now.
    ⚠️ I do suggest that you should cite your music in your videos, as I plan to cite the music source in many of my future videos should I use any. The music heard in the video looks like some kind of suspense. (Note that the ⚠️ emoji is a heads up.)

  • @ajlee6933

    Great review on the X7! I noticed that you stated the LED panoramic roof came from Mercedes. Unfortunately that isn’t true, because Mercedes has never offered an LED panoramic sunroof. Instead this idea came from the Rolls Royce’s starlight headliner. Also, the sensor you pressed first on the door handle is used for smartphone entry to the vehicle.

    Just bought a 2019 BMW X7 50i (V8) Executive (45K miles for $61K [$106K new] from a BMW dealer in VA) with 22" wheels and every possible option except for second row bucket seats. We looked at Mercedes GLS, Cadillac, Navigator, Acura and every potential vehicle in its size/class. Our previous family vehicle was a 2018 Chevy Traverse High Country ($50K) that we bought new. The BMW is obviously an incredible upgrade, but was the best choice hands down of the bunch in 2023 (as was the Traverse in 2018 in its class). Bought pricey extended BMW warranty, but what the heck as it's covered now for 5 more years or 55K more miles. Was a leased car, but after detailing turned out quite nice. Looking forward to some good times...

      Samuel Serrano when I bought my ‘18 bmw I saw on my options that apple CarPlay was a $300 option. BUT! Bmw does wireless Apple CarPlay and were the very first to do it. Still not worth $300 but it’s a nice feature to be wireless. I personally HATE CarPlay because it limits my other features. In my HUD I can’t see all the upcoming music and instead get the name of the current song and a forward and backwards option. And when using the CarPlay nav I can’t see my nav directions in the HUD at all. And if your phone loses service on a trip you’re SOL if you miss a turn because it won’t load anything new. But also BMW nav manages to add an extra hour on arrival time when I take even a 5 hour drive 😂. So they both have their pros and cons.

    Why you Americans and other Countries always says BMW, Mercedes and Audi are "luxury brands"? They are not luxury, they are just premium. Luxury for me is Maybach, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Maseratti, Aston, Lambo, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Bugatti etc. but not BMW you see everyday on the road... at least here in Germany 🤦🏽‍♂️

    • @DarthNero
      @DarthNero Před 5 lety

      DerHalbeEuro the term luxury varies per region. The cars you consider luxury like Bentley or Rolls Royce are called “ultra luxury” and Lambos and Bugatti are called “exotic” cars in USA. The term premium in USA is referring to cars that are slightly above in prices and features from the mainstream cars like KIA, Toyota, Ford etc..

    Why recommend the larger 22" tires?" Yes, it may look nicer to race-track speedster, but for any ride over 2 hours....back problems and chances for tire explosions & axles breakdowns dramatically higher than the smaller tires. Wish they had 20" (higher profile) tires for people who like to go on long rides as well as offroad driving without having to replace the tires and fix the axles every year.

    Like your reviews man. What keeps me from loving them is what seems to be a lack of breath in between your assessments of the various components, functions, amenities, materials, features etc. I sometimes find it a bit daunting to recognize what portion of the vehicles you're covering vs another because you don't insert many pauses in between making your assessments. Could just be me and it's not a diss. Just an observation 🤷🏾‍♂️. Nonetheless keep up the great work and beautiful SUV. Hope you review the I7 at soon!

    I think it's a trade off between the Navigator and this. A fully loaded Black Label would be just over 100k, which is around 20k less than this tester Bimmer is. The Lincoln cant accelerate or handle like the 4.4L X7, but would likely be less to maintain and no ridiculous ACP subscription. The Navi has a nice interior (especially the Destination Theme) but is a step below the X7. I hope Lincoln is working out ride quality quirks and also a smaller displacement TT V8.
