Signing a contract extension with Napoli, has limited the market for Victor. Napoli wants an auction but that doesn't always lead a player to the club & coach best for his career. He should've followed the Mbappe play book & leave at the end of the season to a club & coach best for the growth of his game.

You talk about bonuses with a new contract, Mbappe has been offered the world by PSG, so that they could set a transfer fee - he turned it down. He loses some €70m in loyalty bonuses. He wanted total control over where he plays next. In my opinion, Victor had earned that status - the agent ain't always working for you.
Many of our African players regress cos of these sort of choices. Pochettino is struggling to hold on to his job.
