Breaking Trail to the Cabin - BC Backcountry Adventure with my Dad

About 200km into the BC backcountry there is a set of cabins. During the summer my parents run a fishing camp, but in the winter it turns into my favourite sledding playground! It takes a lot of work to get there - lakes to cross, bridges to build, trees to clear, and trails to create - but the memories are worth it! Dad and I make an attempt to break our way in Boxing Day 2022!

Crossing lakes on a sled are very hazardous, many deaths occur over here in Quebec every winter...

200 km that is nuts unless you have a machine with a cab. That snow is nasty and the very reason I went from snow blowers and snowmobiles to a two ton dozer that would walk right in. From the looks of the trail it looked to me that someone had a snowcat in there on that trail.

Possibly early in the fall. The only other thing out there is a drilling camp but they always shut down and get out before the heavy snow sets in.
