Mowing lawn in January. WOW! I was wondering why you were putting a fence up. One suggestion if you don't mind. I would have put the fence about 10 feet past the trees that you have planted. Livestock love the buds on fruit trees. Great idea of using the old pattern for the doorway. Funny how one thing leads to another. Weather isn't cooperating for you. So love watch you and Suzie work around your little castle.

Rols, I am glad your thumb is healing well. To this day, I have to look away when I see an electric saw in use after my brother did the same as you years ago. I often wished I could use one over the years, though.
The grass is so green there. I remember the dogs eating the carrots! My dog looks away from any veggies.
I have a feeling you both will have a good garden this year.

We had a cat that ate the cucumbers in our garden. Not the whole thing just bites out of everyone. Thought it was a rabbit at first then caught the cat. It sure is green, looks good. The rain has helped that at least.

Hi Budo, my grandfather and father were carpenters so it's in the blood but I have never had the opportunity to practice it until now. Unfortunately my workshop is still a cluttered old barn so recycling the former has created some space and the remainder been chopped up for the logburner, so win, win, win 😁😁😁 As you and Tracy know, lack of CZcams content is not really a problem when taking on the sort of projects we have all taken on 😂😂 All the best to you both and keep the vlogs coming, Rols 👍

It amazes me how some dogs eat carrots. My Jack Russells won’t touch them. Although we had an Australian Cattle Dog and he loved to pinch the strawberries out of our garden. 🇦🇺

Good afternoon Suzie a& Rols, That was excellent news how the thumb is healing, do take care until March and a bit thereafter. Unfortunately a hard lesson learned. The best is, the thumb was saved which is a blessing itself. The grass always looks grand after a cut, and yes, a second touch up will be better. Can say much about the short delivery of the poles, let's believe it was a genuine oversight. I think it was time to get inside as the wind becomes quite chilly before the heavens open. Enjoy a good cup of strong tea not forgetting a tasty biscuit. Take care, go well.

I don't know if you can get identical bricks but it seems you cut bricks to size and rag roll some dye colors onto them to get close ? I just like exercising my brain when I watch you work . ❣️

There are no pawns mowed here yet
The grass died off in the summer and a lot of weeds came through last autumn so Rols was basically mowing weeds to give the grass a chance to get going
