@@Bochef-es1nn At Coors Field, they use specially humidified baseballs to prevent extreme bater-friendly conditions. So, the distance does not increase by as much as 20 feet compared to other ballparks. Look at other batters. Many games have already been played at this stadium this season, but who else besides Ohtani has hit 476 feet?

Then we won't see him in every game, no? Never followed Angels or American league so no idea how it works. Will he be pitching and batting in a same game as National league used to be, and still plays DH in between 5 game rotation?

@matrix-fh9tn with the Angels last year he pretty much played every game, with a few exceptions. He even pitched a complete game in a double-header and hit two HR in the same day. But we don't know if the Dodgers will do the same.
@@matrix-fh9tn In 2022, he had to leave games where he pitched after he stopped pitching. After that year, he could remain in the same game as a DH. As for DH on the days he doesn't pitch, he has been doing that and had a couple of 40+ HR seasons that way

It would be more wise for the Dodgers to use Ohtani as the 6th pitcher in the rotation when needed in the regular season.

What a sweet swing! The transfer of power through his hips is picture perfect.
I feel like it wouldn’t have traveled as far at any other stadium because they are at Coors, but it was still a monster homerun from Ohtani.
Why the Ohtani's home runs make people feels more impressive than the other hitters? The number of views are always higher than the others. It seems like people are ready to goes crazy in every times he sent the ball off field.
i would guess because he is also a pitcher. an injured pitcher this year though. so there's already an aura of greatness to be able to do both at a high mlb level. if he was just a hitter in the mlb, it would just be another guy hitting homeruns (in my opinion of course). he'll probably get more views when he starts pitching again.

That little Forrest is deeper than it look and the angle of view made it looks so close. Tho the statcast have some sketchy inaccurate problem but it just a few feet for this field.

I apologize for repeating myself over and over again, but please never forget that the man who hit the longest home run of this MLB season today is a pitcher who underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow last September and is currently rehabilitating with the aim of returning next season!
It wasn't Tommy John surgery. It was a procedure some are calling 'Internal Brace' but has not been given a specific name. Ohtani fanbois should know these things

Doc tried to entice by hinting p, he may do some outfield but that’s doubtful too as the organization wouldn’t risk any adverse effect on Ohtanis rehabilitation that may jeopardize his comeback next year..
