That Jovi clay dried to such a fine pure white and I love that. I think the little house came out adorable, and so delicate looking. I'm impressed.
Thank youuu❤️
I'm very glad I found your channel, for a school project I had to buy some air dry clay and this brand was the only one available for me to buy, so I'm happy I can watch this video before using it!
Thank you, I hope this video helps 😊
This is very nice. I watched the video several times and now I am excited to imitate what you do. You are nice. All love and respect to you from Iraq 🇮🇶.
Thank you
Thanks for the tips! 😍
Thanks for the instructions.
Can we follow the same steps for homemade air dry clay?
I glad i saw this video! Thanks it helped me to use it
Thank you so much! I just bought a Jovi air dry clay from Goodwill and really wanted to use it, but I didn't have any information about this until now!
Yay! Happy claying ❤
Thanks for sharing. I’m planning to have an air dry clay for my next art project. Thanks for the tips. 💛
Thank you so much and goodluck❤
Happy claying!
@@clayandpastel Thank you 😊
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!❤❤❤
Thank you😘
Thanks! I’ve learned some tips. 🤗
Happy to hear that ❤️
Okok I know I'm really Really late
but I have used this clay too
And here are some Things i knew:
When you choose the colors, White is the best choice since its very very powdery You wouldn't want blood looking clay on your hands wouldn't you (Terracotta)
I personally think gray is the exact same as White so if you only had to choose any from terracotta and gray if you don't have white they yeah white
(note Terracotta is also a bit hard to paint)
Ok so now done using the air dry clay you store it as usual in a cabinet hoping to you use it for another day, that other thay would be unfortunate because The clay dries really fast, (NOTE I opened it and it was exposed to air)
what do you do?
I have found a way to recycle it and have used it again today!
Steps:
1. Break the clay into SMalL piece
in a bowl (dont turn them into dust or huge pieces of rocks)
2. Boil Water or use hot water and pour it into the bowl and stir
3. wait for a couple of minutes
(10+)
4. Take it out and try to:
If its too soft: Harden it for A LITTLE BIT ONLY
If its too hard: Leave it in the water or change the water
if its ok: Congratulations! You now have Air dry workable Clay!!
Thank youuu so much fpr this very informative comment😍❤
This is really informative..thank you ❤
thank youu
Does the clay crack while /after drying?
Hey Claybuddies! I recieve some questions about Jovi Clay and here are some of my answers.
1. Can I use Jovi for Chibi doll?
Yes, I know some clayist who uses jovi for sculpting and chibi figurines.
2. Have you tried using the 2 other colors of Jovi?
No, not yet and I’ll be trying it too, soon!
3. How did you describe your experience on using Jovi Clay?
I really had fun, especially when I’m adding another layer of clay then blending it together ( 13:03 and 10:38 ). It’s so satisfying! 😍
4. Will you recommend it to someone who wants to try claying?
Yes, you can easily buy them and the price for the grams you’ll have, not bad.
And ofcourse, for me we have to try it first ourselves because maybe what works for you wont work for me or vise versa.
We really have to experience it ourselves and from there we can decide if this medium is for me or not. And sometimes it’s also a matter of practice, if you really like it you have practice alot, do claying more often beacuse as we always say practice makes perfect! 🙂
*On the video and my answers are my personal opinion base on I experienced as a first time user of Jovi Clay.
Spread NO Hate, Only Love and Happiness. Happy Claying! ❤️
Hello your video is amazing PLEASE notice my question , what is the difference between Jovi Air dry Clay and air dry clay that you're selling? Your products are amazing and im curious about the difference of jovi and your products THANK YOUUUU ❤️
this is very helpful, and i bought the same brand of air dry clay! thank you ☺️
Thank youuuu❤️
Planning to buy jovi air dry clay and use acrylic to add colors on them. May I know if its okay?
your video was so helpful 💞 thank u
Yay! Happy help❤
i suddenly got interested on air dry clay nice vid!
Yay! Thank you I hope to inspire you more 😊
hii! thanks a lot for the video it's super helpful ❤️ I have a school project for making a sculpture lolol but I did want to ask what paint did you use for your sculpture?
Tahnk youuuu. The paint I usually use is Acrylic paint❤️
I've used both Jovi and Das. The experience is very similar, and so far I think Jovi's is slightly cheaper, it's softer and you can feel a little more moist on in than Das. But, in both cases, good luck trying to get your hands clean!
Now I want to try their Pat Maché!
Yeah, it's kinda messy on hands ☺and it's fun😉
How do you clean it?😅
@@dhararughani Oil and a toothbrush, then some soap,...
Can jovi be used in making keychains?or chibi dolls?
Will it easily break after drying? Or how to avoid little thin pcs of air dry clay from breaking after drying?
Wow amazing
Is it durable after it dries? Durable enough to sell as keychain? Thank you!
Amazing video and craft!
Greetings from Mexico City!
Hello :) Thank you for the support. I really appreciate it😍❤
Hi! Do you think this can make a tiny jewelry box? The art store near my house has a DAS clay kit ($10US) but is a bit more expensive then the Jovi Clay (500gr for $4US dollars) thanks :)
Yes I haven’t use all of the jovi for this project, there’s still amount of clay left.
So cute! Love it. :)
Thank youuu 😍
hi! do you think its advisable to use air dry clay for handmade pins or would it be better to use polymer instead?
Hi, ypu can also use both for handmade pins :)
Only the difference is when you use polymer you need an oven to bake it
Hi can you suggest me what is the best air dry clay to use when making earrings and hair stuffs? Thankyou
You can use hulma air dry clays too for earings but make sure that it wont be exposed on water or sweat for too long. Its better if the earing were dangling and you can also use it for hair pieces:)
I buy this clay and don't know how to use this tipe of clay . This video is very helpful thanks
Happy claying! ❤
thank you for this video! although, i wonder, would you recommend jovi air dry clay for making earrings that aren't flat? ive been considering buying this brand of clay to make a pair of earrings but im hesitant because that it might be too brittle (as what ive watched from the video. and the clay when molding kind of looks hard, but idk haha this brand is cheap for air dry clay so ive been wondering if its worth it for earrings.)
ps. that mushroom house is so pretty🤍
I think you can buy a small pack of jovi and try it if this medium works for you in making earings because I know some people use this for making handmade pins as big as earings ❤
@@clayandpastel alright then! thank u so much for ur response🤍
will u please make an ait dry clay project on order
Im supposed to have done this yesterday for school but im late now- i already got the clay 😭😭 Still gonna use the clay cause its fun ☺️ This video gonna help me have fun hahah
Yeah go and make some cute clay projects😊🥰
Hi! I just bought 3 packs of this jovi air dry clay and after searching, I doubt that it will break (will use in for artisan keycaps) meaning maybe I bought a wrong type of clay. If you're familiar with miniature foods and stick it onto keycaps, will you recommend this?
Haven’t tried it into keycapsbut maybe I can try it too so I can make suggestions about it :)
hello, ive been really interested in making a new project using airdry clay. i know you said you can only make it water resistant with an acrylic sealer but will coating it in resin make a difference/make it more water resistant, is that advisable?
Yes you can also coat ir with resin😊
Great video
what do u think are the difference between grey, white and the terracota (?)
Haven’t tried them yet but soon🙂
How long exactly u take to dry them up after you design them ? If I want to make especially earrings with it 😊
Depends on tge thickness but for my projects I always let them dry overnight ti male sure that they are fully cured.
Hi! Can we use this product and then save to use in another day? I mean the product that we save doesn't dry?
Yes but make sure to keep them in an airtight container
the thing is, this clay is the only clay i can find and is really cheap but i have few issues and i cant tell if its just me or not. first, it cracks alot! molding it into a shape is reallt difficult because of that. and then i have to put slip or clay over it again which is a hassle but i didnt see you having that problem. and another thing is that it dries quite fast..
I experience it also, better to use this on projects that are meant for displays, clay dish or on figures that you dont usually use or move.
I had similar issue. No matter what I do, it warps and cracks when it dries down. I have made so many things but every piece ended up being warped and cracked :((
I have no clue what am I doing wrong!!
A lady on CZcams said the no. 1 cause of cracks is it drying too fast. She said to put your work in a cupboard and shut the door and let it dry slowly.
I'm a beginner so I have no idea if it would work, but it's worth trying!
FIRST TIME? te quedó hermoso
Thank you❤
Can i mix the clay to my acrylic paun before molding it?
Thank you for your question, i will be answering this on my next video. ❤
Stay tune and love lots 😘
So beautiful!!! 👏🏽👏🏽😍 What is the name and the material of this circle board you use on the table to open the clay?
Hi :) Can you give me the time stamp please
@@clayandpastelhi can u pls tell me the sculpting u used in the video? i cant seem to open the shoppee link:((
Can I use this as a pot for plants? or is it really too brittle? Nice video btw!
Hi, i think yes but as plant pot holder. Not advisable to submerge it on a water
Can I add water to turn it into a paste like sculpture paste?
Not sure but when you add water to it, its kinda have the same texture of the paste.
Will you be allowed to paint it only once it is totally dry? Or even if not yet totally dry?
It is better to paint it once dry 😊
hi! do u think i can use this to make a head for a doll? like about a size of a head of a baby?
We have pros and cons, yes because it can easily blended using water but its quite heavy if its as size as a baby’s head.
can you do a tutorial on how to put the attach a keychain on air dry clay?
Sure! Soon I will be making videos about it :)
@@clayandpastel cool!! thank youuu!!
QUE PRECIOSO!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank youuu❤
hi, can you recomend types of paint for clay??
Acrylic paint :)
Hi just asking. what other air dry clay brands available. Can you suggest some?
There's alot of air dry clays, I personally use hulma clay
why my project crack after its dry ?
can you recommend airdry clay brand, i want to try make a character figure..
a durable brand please
For figurines that Im making, whether for personal or custom oders I use Hulma clay and then seal it with gloss because the clay is made of food grade materials.
@Ian Macario did you try the brand she recommended for making figures?
Hello, may i ask if its normal that it was really hard when i opened it? I bought it 5 days ago and opened it today
Yes it a bit hard but not too hard. Just enough where you can still knead it.
12:30 my god- her/his eyes is so pretty!
Yay! Thank youuu ❤
does it reactivate? im worried that it might go weak again when I try to paint on it (esp when I accidentally put more water than paint) love ur video btw !!
I painted mine but it don't go back into its original texture.
Is it paper clay?
does glossing makes air dry clay waterproof? or how do you make it waterproof?
Air dry clay cant be waterproof since most air dry clay are made of paper but you could make it a water resistant by adding acrylic gloss/matte or a sealant
really nice vid
Thank you🫶🏻
i bought jovi terracotta air dry clay at art bar cebu city and when i went home to open it it just crumbled in my hands no matter how much water i put into it... what went wrong..
Hi :) I think try kneading it until it softens.
is it good for making clay rings and other clay jewelry?
I made pins using this but it's kinda brittle
Early! Hi ClayandPastel ^-^
Former adc crafter too and so happy with all your creations ^-^ Ang galing po talaga
Thank you❤ I really do appreciate your support 😍
should i keep it out in the sun to dry or just leave it as it is?
Dont expose it on the sun it can affect the color of your clay, you can leave it as it is.
If the weather is hot, the temperature can help to dry it faster but not under the sun.
Hi can you put paint and mix it in the clay?
Yes, I tried it with acrylic paint 🙂
hi! what sealant/varnish do u use to seal your air dry clay creations? :)
Hi I use hulma gloss and acrylic sparay paint. (Made a video about this, the newest video I have on playlist I hope it helps)
Thanks for the tips. Which craft shop's link is described in the description box.
It's my little shop, I has air dry clay tools and materials and soon will be selling stickers too :)
Thanks for replay me 🥰🥰🥰
Price of clay and clay tools.
What kind of paint did you use? Can i also use poster paint ?
Im using acrylic paint because it is more water resistant when once dried compare to poster paint.
haha someone already asked hahaha thanks
Does it come with the little knife thingy or not?
No po :)
Can we mix colours directly to the clay
Yes, but it kinda messy when mixing because of the colors but fun 😀
I jus wanted to say you can use water to soften it up
Yes ❤️
Sometimes I water it down a little to make it smooth
Indirectly
Hey!!!! I love you .... One request could you pls do hearty clay review too plssss
Yes will male video about it for you guys ❤
@@clayandpastel aww thank you that so sweet of you !!!!💜💜💜
hi! is this okay for jewelry dish or ashtray?
Yes
Hi! What kind of paint did you use?😊
Acrylic paint
hi po, hindi po ba ito compatible sa pag gawa ng mga earrings kasi ito sana gagamitin ko po 😔
Hi. Do you think for it's texture I can use this to make piggy bank?😁 Thank you.❤️
With its texture some piggy bank has the same texture as this clay, rough like the plantpot but be careful when you insert coin on the piggy bank it might have some impact on the clay.
what paint did u use?
Acrylic paint
Is it good for sculpting highly detailed anime figures ... please reply 🥺🥺
I think yes but you have to blend well (stick well) each part of the your figure
What Kind of paint do you use?
Acrylic paint
Can i use the focus glossy for coating the clay??
Yes
@@clayandpastel thankyou! 💜
omg I want to create my own too but will it work if I use goauche instead of acrylic paint?? 😩 btw love ur work!! ❤️
Goauche acrylic or the watercolor?
@@clayandpastel gouache watercolor 😁
or wait I think it's acrylic type of texture irdk 😭😭 it's himi miya gouache
Yes you can use watercolor but using acrylic paint is better, it sticks well on the clay project maybe because of its permanent nature.
good day can i ask of what kind of paint you use po?
Acrylic paint 🙂
Can I make keychains with this air dry clay brand?
Yes and pins :)
I want to buy the hulma one for keychains and magnets , and this jovi for trinket dish and figurees. Possible po ba maging water proof pag nalagyan ng acrylic gloss??
I have link po on the description box.
You can also DM me there po :)
@@clayandpastel maam may i ask pona waterproof po ba ang hulma pag nalagyan ng gloss?
Splashproof po or but not totaly waterproof.
Di po pwede na mababad sa tubig ng matagal.
Hello, thank you for sharing! So I guess a clay like that is not really suitable for making chibi dolls/charms? Bummer as it's widely available and not pricey.
For me not for chibi keychains but for chibi figurines maybe yes, I know some people who use this for sculpting figurines 😊
Try Daz air dry clay. It is more stronger.
❤❤❤
Is this the same with modeling clay?
Yes, this is also air dry
Here's a funny story I wanna share.
When I was 12, I wanted to try using air-dry clay instead of modeling clay. Soon, I managed to buy a small pack of white Jovi.
But due to all the powder and residue it was leaving in the my hands, I got so pissed off, that I threw it away, and stopped clay modeling again. (though the reason why I stopped was a different reason)
I understand that feeling, maybe you can try some other air dry clays and one of these days you'll find the best medium for you❤
What are the negative thoughts about this air dry clay??
On my experience it can easily be broken
do i have to use water ?
For me it is easier to blend with water
Acrylic paint po ba gamit mo?
Yes po ☺
What type of color did you use?? Acraylic??
Yes
What kind of paint did you use?
acrylic paint
Can we make perfect figures with this clay like human face and body
I knew someone who makes clay figures using this clay because it easy to blend using water but just becareful on my experience some parts of the clay figure breaks.
Thank you i was wrong with the clay i put water all over before molding 😅
Happy claying 🙂
omg tysmm new subbie here
I've been planning to sell polymer clay earrings and I don't have any oven yet. Would this be okay?
Yes, but there are some things you need to consider because air dry clays are not waterproof.
@@clayandpastel ok, thanks ❤️❤️
Mine is a kilo and it is soooooo harder than in the video what should I do?????
Kilo is a brand? If so, sorry but I haven't tried it yet.
@@clayandpastel no no the brand is also jovi as yours but its weight is 1000 gr.
Pang dry ba yung clay while sculpturing pwede ba siya add ng konting tubig para mag softened
Yes
is that acrylic paint you using?
Yes
Can we use water with it?
Yes :)
hey is it water resistant?
Nope so it needs to be sealed 😊
