Ehh sometimes you just want what you want or the kitchen is just the first of the renovations and the other rooms will be done in the future. My parents redid one of their bathrooms with a modern style that looked great. Didn’t match the rest of the house but nobody cared as it looked great and it wasn’t the guest bathroom so few people would notice. It was just for them to have a very nice modern bathroom.
Not everyone can afford to redo the rest of the house after you spend a lot of money on a kitchen. Most kitchen reno's start out at $10,000 and can go up to $50,000 or more depending on if you get new: appliances ,sink, tile, faucet, flooring etc. A cheap appliance set (dishwasher,fridge, stove ) will set you back $5,000 USD and that was before the pandemic. lots of things in the USA is very hard to get your hands on with lots of delays up to 4 -12months late
