    great work.
    I didn't need exact measurements to figure out witch one is better. you proved volume is time and money .
    thank you for taking the time to do your test and then sharing it.

    Thanks for doing this video. I have been curious of how well the mat works. Good video.

    That really fine gold is likely floating down the mat. To fix that, put a flap across the mat to break the surface tension and force the floaters under the water. Once you do that, you will have a 90% chance of capture the floaters.

    Seems to me you can run more material. And looks like it did pretty great at recovery at that speed and feed rate. Cube take a week to do the same job.

    I have a friend named Frank that makes sluice boxes just like yours.

    I tried to invent something myself a few years ago. Mine flopped. They told me that it was just common sense that someone else could do their selves... good luck

    You didnt weight the gold? How could you get accurate results?

    • @TheDSP1970

      Next time I will put a pan at the end, pull it out, show a few sparkles & say 95% like doc! Ha ha

    If you are don't want to brush anymore use a vacuum suction into a jug that'll be a lot easier to get all those fine gold

    Any idea why the gold migrated so far down?

    • @TheDSP1970
      @TheDSP1970  Před 3 lety

      The gold is so small & its pure black sands, its impossible to catch it all. Plus the flow is sluice speed. Not clean up speed. Fact is, it captures more at that rate, than the conveyor belt does. But we don't BS the results.

    Not trying to criticize or anything, but maybe weigh the gold you are adding first. Then weigh what You recovered so you will know the exact percentage that you recovered/lost. Good concept, though.

      @TheDSP1970  Před 6 lety

      Keep It Real , good idea, but the results or diffrence is pretty clear. The results were clear when I ran the material thru the cube & only got 1/2 the gold back. There's got to be a faster easier way.

    Nothing seems to work as well as your original prototype because it had a simpler system with high walls to create a definite vortex that catches all size gold. The matting you sell has low walls and only catches flour gold while blowing out the larger pieces. You should make a simpler matting with high walls and see the larger pieces add up, that would revolutionize the market and watch people go crazy for your fluid dynamics system.
    You're welcome,
    Some dude

      They don't advertise the commercial mats , they have the higher walls

    Where can I buy one ? I need the exact one that you have there . I will give it an actual test in a real mining environment on the Burnt River in Oregon . I talked with the Gold Well guy on the phone . He will not just sell the sluice plate itself . Plus he likes to talk to people like they are stupid . I wonder how much money he makes on every Gold Well Sluice he doesn't sell . Ignorance and arrogance go hand in hand . Anyway , the dream mat looks like a good product that I need to try out .

    All this time to do a test and it is a failure. It failed because the gold and sand was not weighed in the beginning or the end. So yes it does get gold but how much does it not get? that is the question. people do these test and it is a waist of their time and the viewers.

    • @TheDSP1970
      @TheDSP1970  Před 6 lety

      tegf4 not a failure, the total gold was estimated. We're not building rockets. The true report of the test is, cube DOSE NOT have the recovery rate it claims, not even close.

    • @tegf4
      @tegf4 Před 6 lety

      Why are you afraid/reluctant to weigh your gold and do a real quantitative test? You waste 50% of the video showing us your shoveling skills but won't take a couple of minutes to weigh the gold.
