one of the better beck tunes...easily! the least annoying of all the celebrity scientoligists too! saw him in seattle once. he's one of those performers that gives me chills...and i'm a dude!
This song is indeed the ultimate breakup song, as well as being haunting. I, too, like the older version but this one's easier to play, and doesn't require tuning down yur guitar.
Tom Petty covered this charming tune on his "She's the One" album in 1996. Which is rather odd, because he was 46 at the time. This song is SO adolescent and angsty. So, I put this in my "Petty..covers.." playlist. Thanks for the upload!
I guess it must suck to be famous, surrounded by yes men, never told you're shit when you are. Thank God I have people like you to keep me humble and true in every one of my songs.
I'd rather be a moron with some heart, living my life, than recording elevator music versions of an originally soulful song. I guess some people like electric Dylan too I just don't dig it. Either way, famous does not equal good. Beck is one of my favorite performers in the world (and my first concert when I was a kid) but shit's shit no matter who you are.
This takes my two favorite Beck albums, Sea Change and One Foot in the Grave, and combines them into a glorious version of Asshole.
One of my fave Beck's song. Very good live.
I love this song... Too true at times.
The best "country music" song of all time!!.....well done meastro Beck!!
Show them how it's done!!!
Beck has always gone between genres, so it only follows to reason that he would record different versions of his songs. I personally really like this.
Balanced Chaos melody encyclopedia..
Same here man, hes awesome inspiration.
This is great. I encourage everyone to listen to Beck's Sea Change album. It's beautiful.
