    Oh my goodness, the word given on the calling to be great givers!! Whew Jesus!! That was thr word for me. I've always been a giver and have felt the conviction of the Holy Ghost on taking that money and having it going towards WASTEFUL entertainment. I've decided to give up Casinos after four months playing and I pray and am thankful I'm out early. The word on the God of luck also hit home. When people would say "Good luck" to me I'd purposely say, I hope you win because luck is used so much in the Casino. Then I caught myself reply back with good luck...another moment of "Oh no, I've got to let this go". Prause Yahweh for this video!❤❤❤

    I’m 22 and rarely gamble, I was wondering if it was a sin. The reason I gamble, (which is rarely) is because there’s some pleasure to it, makes watching events more enjoyable. Also, I plan on using my winnings as a tool, be it pay bills like for school, or in future: rent.

    Gambling is created to be addictive. Everything about casinos is to keep you there losing your money. They give “free” gifts and bonus points and food and drinks and rooms because they know it will get you to go in and keep you there. Then once you start playing if you win you think you can win more and if you lose you want to win it back. I’m speaking from experience and there’s nothing unusual about me. I’m just a regular person so if I have experienced this MANY others who have gambled have too.

    Pastors need to preach moderation in all things. You can’t become addicted to anything if you do it in moderation. The same way that food can kill you if you overindulge, other things can harm you if you overindulge in them. Put God first. Think about what you do and why. Keep God at the forefront of your mind. When I drink, rarely, I’m not throwing back drinks because Jesus does not want me to get drunk. When I gamble I have an amount I allow myself and that’s it. When it’s gone, it’s gone. Eating is harder but it’s the same premise. I think about what I put in my body and how much. Know God. Know yourself. Know your limits.

      @savingpeace8452 Před 2 měsíci +1

      This is the best comment on here common sense and wisdom that is missing from the whole debate about things that are sin or not sin when anything can become a sin and moderation and not putting anything before god is the important thing. Put no other god before me and that god can be a person we get to attached too it can be money it can be power it can be alcohol it can be drugs or food or sex or our reputation at church or pride or looking good in front of our friends it can be the way we look getting to obsessed with the way our body looks and staying or getting thin it can be so many things anything can become a god in our lives and anything that we put before god no matter what it is is problematic over indulging in food or gluttony as the bible calks it and does call it out as a sin and not looking after our bodies the temple of the Holy Spirit is an acceptable sin nowadays and people quick to judge gambling as a sin even though the bible does not say it is would probably not be quick to call out gluttony or obsession and abuse of the body by fad diets and starvation type eating routines either way the body image obsession and the struggle with overindulgence in food are both far more clear cut as things that we should try very hard to avoid and that is clear from the bible yet that is not talked about like gambling is even though gambling does not have the bible references that these other more common and so called acceptable sins do. Everything in moderation unless it’s a personal struggle for you and you can’t drink at all or gamble at all or go on any diet or have junk food in the house. That’s the point it’s personal to us and judging people for gambling without looking at the log in your own eye is such a dangerous thing to do because it brings judgment back upon us judge and ye shall be judged by golly that scripture scares me that principle of sowing and reaping is great when you do the right thing but mighty scary when you don’t because it is real and I see it at play in my life and others sowing and reaping folks think about that before you judge others or post things on you tube or do anything. Just because you repent does not mean you do not have to face the consequences of the principle of sowing and reaping so it’s just not worth it always always keep that in mind I hope that helps someone

    • @kingbobb8389

      Investing into companies that provide goods or services like for example Home Depot - you’re helping people sell goods. The same can’t be said for crypto or forex though. Those are more speculative in nature

    • @user-bu3rs6el1n
      @user-bu3rs6el1n Před 6 měsíci +1

      Stock, Crypto,Real estate, Precious metals are investments & speculative in which you educate : when to buy & sell. It has a risk to it. While gambling is not an investment and no guarantee of return. You could play your entire life and never win or have very little return to none. So wasting your hard earned dollars on gambling and taking food away from your family and it becomes an addiction is a sin.

    Gambling is not a sin. It's just 1) stupid, 2) a bad witness, 3) poor stewardship and 4) potentially addictive. Gambling is adiaphora, something that God's word neither mandates nor overtly prohibits, but it's not a good idea for Christians.
    Explanation, if your'e still reading: 1) Gambling is stupid because the house always wins--financially, it is better to buy stock in a casino than to gamble in one. 2) It is a bad witness, because it can cause a fellow Christian with weaker faith than you to stumble. 3) It is poor stewardship because it trains you to look to luck rather than God and the work he as provided you for your sustenance. 4) A certain percentage of gamblers become addicted to it and lose everything, so one should take care if you have an addictive personality.
    I wouldn't judge gamblers as evil, just misguided, and I would pray they mature in their faith and find other ways to work with their hands so they might have something to give to those that are truly in need. OK, I'm ready for the snarky comments.

    💰💲💸💶💵As a Pastor and a mental health therapist I can personally say it is addictive and wrong. BTW I pastor a small church of about 50 and a SS teacher hit $1.4M and wanted to tithe and we rejected the gift and also removed them from teaching children. Our teachers agree not to participate in certain activities and this was one of them.
    Side note: that person has spent all the winnings and is worse off now than before and he blames everyone else. If the church had accepted the money, he would've blamed us and wanted money back. I'm not saying everyone has to handle it this way, but God was looking out for us and His interests!😊

      Although the Bible doesn’t discuss gambling in detail, we can discern from Bible principles that God views gambling as a sin. Gambling is driven by greed, which God hates. (1Corinthians 6:9,10; Ephesians 5:3,5)
      Gambling can arouse a destructive love of money. (1Timothy 6:9,10) Gambling can arouse an unhealthy competitive spirit, which God disapproves of. (Galatians 5:26)

    Gambling is a big sin that can ruin your life for real I know and seen people run their life’s down in the drain, you as a man of God should advice people to stay away from harmful acts so they can serve God better, it’s sick that you find appealing and not evil at all one company makes all the money most people lose their ass just on the picks, we spend 95 billion a year on just lottery alone without casinos sport betting etc… people are buying ink paper and alcohol with their hard earned money and just giving it up for a small dopamine rush throwing our kids futures away our dignity is lower than ever we can’t stop any corruption or prevent it because most people are drunk and broke 😢😢

    God doesn't want people who are looking for a easy ride, if we are to serve Jesus in Heaven, we have to be willing to put in the work, and the grind and the struggle, also this is Satan's realm, and why should we care about riches and fortune in Satan's world, when we can have eternity in Heaven? It is total nonsense to think that God would tell you to go play the lottery which is driven by the spirit of Satan? God has nothing to do with it, if you do win it is far more likely that it was Satan's doing because he know great fortunes, lead to greater responsibilities, and far easier path for Satan to win your eternal soul. I cannot even believe the takes on this subject. This right will prove my point: What did Jesus tell the rich man when he asked how to get in Heaven? Give ALL your money & possessions to the poor, no one who wins the lottery would ever have the courage to do that. Also what else did he say "that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into Heaven. I really cannot believe the denseness of the stance on the subject, either you are in on the Gospel of Jesus or your not, can't be half way, period.

Bottom line....(also, inventing your ‘own’ make-believe god in your mind who is fine with idols and fine with sin is a violation of the 1st and 2nd commandments. Just FYI)

    What if I gamble a dew times a month but still donate $100.00 a week or more. It is one of the only very few things I do that I do for fun or entertainment. Yes we wast money on lobster or stake dinner
    BUT why should a sports person get paid millions to have fun . I worked hard most of my life was in the army when I turned 17 than work at the psychiatric hospital than became a New York-based Correctional officer.
    BUT I try to give good tidings more lately than before. I have as many do leave the casino with less than I came in with.
    How is it much different that the one who was born into wealth. And gives nothing to God. Yes they may donate to help kids or other foundries.
    Look at the Clintons millions to wast on campaigning for Presidential elections. Or Opra with billions.
    Look at Bill Gates he got very lucky it was a gamble I've never heard of him helping ( donating ) to anything not that I can recall. I've always said if I won big I would spread my wealth with the Lord .
    I'm now medically retired at 55.
    I want to preach advocate for the injured at work open a church . but have no true background knowledge. Other than my own life experiences.
    I've worked all my life even as a child.
    How can I start to spread the word of God.

    I don't think gambling is a sin. It's a form of investment the same as forex, you can loose your money just the same way in crypto or trying to setup a farm and your animals die from famine or some kind of decease. The bad thing from the casinos and lotteries is there's lot deception behind. So if a poor person buys a lottery ticket and wins that changes his life is it not prayers answered? If put 1$ and you get 1million $ is it not good returns from investment. Like Solomon says send commodities abroad with ships and wait for profits you will be rich is it wrong to be rich?No. Was Abraham wrong to be a richest man of his time, no Isaac, Jacob or Lazarus, No. If I get my riches from stealing or killing that's what I think is wrong. But for gambling it's where you will surely come to understand a fool or a wise man.
