  • This short film is titled `Beachy Head Lighthouse`. It is one of six films that I produced as part of my `Moving Stills` photography project. Please watch this video in HD and listen to it using good quality headphones or earphones to get the best experience from the film. You can find the other films that make up this project on my CZcams channel.
`Moving Stills` is an area within photography that is becoming more popular amongst experimental photographers and those who are looking to capture more than just a photograph. A moving still is a short film, normally around 20-60 seconds long that follows the aesthetics of a still photograph, but includes a minimal element of movement. There are no camera movements and no cuts. Basically, a moving still is a photograph that has been framed by a photographer, like a normal photograph would be, but instead of pressing the shutter release button to take the photograph, the photographer would press the record button on their camera.
The equipment that I used for all of the films featured within my `Moving Stills` project consisted of my Canon EOS 500D Digital SLR camera, along with my Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS lens, and of course, my Velbon DF-60 Tripod. The editing software that I used for this project was Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 Production Suite.
