just arrived home to Massachusetts. January till May 24, was a snow bird at LaCasa De Soul 55 age community. Watched this site millers ale house devolup on RT 27 Davenport Florida. Hopping to return to this well established ale house, can't wait. Also great video.
Another beautiful day in Florida yeah that wet Lime Rock sucks good to see Pops
Use an across the counter product called Dual Action for your back, does not effect your DOT.
Good morning
Buy a set of the (hand held) family radio's 2 or 4 , then you can communicate with the equipment drivers as they load equipment on your trailer !
Leaf blowers with a handle(i.e. A broom) aren't expensive !
Clean paint, dirt on the tires. That’s what I like to see! Put em to work bother!
Brother, that lower back ache, In my case I try to decompress the spinal chord discs by stretching them up.
(Disclaimer, I am NOT a physiotherapist, do it at your own risk.)
What I do is I first find a spot that I will not be exposed by looking back and making sure no one is behind me.
Then at the standing up position I keep my knees locked and legs straight, and try to reach my hands to the ground.
First it is easier with them legs widespread, but gradually you want to get them feet as close as possible.
Do it a couple of times and go back to the stand up position. Then repeat it a couple of times every time you are doing something outside the cab.
The result is some vertebrae on that lumbar region sound like they crack, what is happening is you are stretching them up and decompressing your lower back.
It works for me, bro. It may be the vase it would work for you, too.
Also it is generally recommended to bend knees before lifting any weight, even when picking up them chain tensioners. I had to change my habits as age started to pick up. It seems to be helping me delay my retirement.
As of late 40's we need to be grateful to feel pain. That means we are still alive. The moment one suddenly stops feeling the aches and pains of the body it is probably not a sign of one is feeling better moving forward. So I just get on with it. As long as money is coming in, I can still think like "no pain, no gain".
On my weekends, I go for a walk, to keep moving and try to control my overweight. We truckers should always be aware of overweight, anyway.
Fat does not pay freight. We pay that bill. I won't give up my weekend beer, so an hour's fast walk is a toll I'll pay gladly.
Haul on, man!
You are one of our heroes!
Thanks for the kind words and advice I’ll try it for sure
Great video! We had a driver pull off the side off the road to load a tractor one day. He had a 1/2 tank , but everything drained to one side , the side without the pick up line.Yeah it run out of fuel and we had to take some more fuel to him. Just a random thought. Be Safe!
Had to delete my original comment, misspelled a word, tried to edit, but wouldn’t let me, I spelt “shut” with an “I” so it looked like I said 💩 😂
The newer trucks with the DPF crap, it’s better to shut them down, if you gotta sit a bit
It's like an orange tree or something
