Its not working for me, im doing the same, but when I slice i dont have color separation, only this red color, and wraps not working...

the red color is the material on the mesh. you need to hit shift F to turn on polyfill which will show you the wireframe and the different colors (Polygroups)

Make sure you're on Slice Curve rather than Crease Curve, same thing happened to me before i realised
