*FIRST DAY* | Transport UK (Abellio) operating E6 & Metroline West operating E1

- Hello Everyone, Greenford has seen two operator changes today. So I decided to go there and film the changes. The day was alright because I met many bus enthusiasts. First off, the talk of the town - the E6!
The E6 is now operated by Transport UK (Abellio) using BRAND NEW Wright GB Kite EV's. These buses smell really nice on the outside tho. I had really nice drivers as I rode the route between Greenford and Yeading. I did a mini-interview with one driver lol about how he find the route and the buses (which I will upload soon). Commuters were really satisfied with the outcome of these new buses. From what I heard, someone said that they "will enjoy the E6 from now". It's good that I finally got on my first "24" plate bus - unlike the 306. Rumours were that the E6 would use Enviro200MMC's alongside these GB Kites, but it seems like Dawley Road (DH) Garage are ready enough to roll all of these out at once. This is a nice change, but I do miss Metroline's DE's though as the route was previously operated by Greenford [G] Garage, but they have now lost it.
However, Metroline West gained the E1 from the same garage, but using Gemini 2 B9TL's that were transferred from Brentford [AH] Garage. The E1's first day was okay I guess, but getting a smooth journey on this route was horrendous to say the least. I may have to re-do a full-journey again some other time. I first caught a B9TL; the bus got stuck in traffic and then some van was blocking the T-Junction which led to the bus driver arguing with some guy. Then, the driver was wondering why I was recording, then I had to tell him that I am recording the 1st day change at Greenford Broadway.
Nonetheless, catching a Gemini 3 was even better because it gives the route speed and it is more smoother than a G2. Gemini 2's do not suit the E1 at all bruh. The driver I had was much nicer because he waved at me in the Hanwell area. I missed the LK15CWP bus because by the time I wanted to catch it, it subbed which was so annoying. It just felt like I could've done more with the E1, but didn't lol. But I do hope that G release TE's, TEH's & VMH's on this route also. With this, I decided to split the E6 and E1 change to make it easier to watch. So enjoy!

E1 is one of my Locals. I Remember it running g through to Brentford when I was at School.
I also remember the E6 when new Just running Mon to Sat. With RWs.
That's nice to hear! They literally cut back the E1 by a lot of miles.
Today, you'd have to take the E2 between Brentford to Greenford.
The E6 must've revolutionised the connection between Yeading and Hayes massively.
I believe the demand for a Sunday Service was so needed due to the connections the route provides around Yeading Tesco.
On when u said u wanted to see more vehicles on E1, maybe VWHs could either come from PV, AC or HT due to new electrics coming
Evosetis can come from HT since they have way too much of them
TEs from 240 could come from EW since they have a lot of electroliners
TEs from W8 could come from PB since new E400 EVs are getting ordered
TEHs could come from W since 210 is getting new buses

HT are getting more evosetis from 113 for 4 so the VWHs can move to AH for 237
W bus spotting!I hope the E1 does see frequent hybrid workings under Metroline as the allocation has been downgraded.Unfortuately I didn't catch a new electroliner,but I caught 1705 and 1712 today so I guess it's better than nothing 😩😩.Defo one of the best changes so far this year.Though I think the way it says E6 is a bit too bold
Thank You Very Much! Yes, I believe that the E1 will receive a mix of hybrid workings very soon. The allocation for the E1 was unfortunately downgraded. 1705 & 1712 are relatively new so it should be alright. Yeah, I think the blinds need to be improved. This was one of the best changes this year!
