Erniang is really lucky to have a family that cares about her. She has been so mean to all of them at some point. Now they're ready to help her despite all the crap she put them through...she one lucky lady indeed. Erniang is also lucky to have a maid that really cares about her. Hopefully she gets better/change her attitude.
Shiyi is the best. She fights hard for the people she loves. I love the way she had them shove her out of the way. She isn't playing with this lady. Her goal is to protect her sister/she's not going to let anybody stand in her way. Erniang really need to wake up and smell the coffee. Her family genuinely cares about her. I love Shiyi's style. She's pushing her buttons to make her fight. She's given up/just waiting to die. Now with Shiyi's condescending attitude towards her it's going to make her fight back. She will never let Shiyi get the best of her..... Shiyi is one smart lady...I just love her.
Erniang is lucky they need her to prosper for the future, they need those family ties. And that birth mother is dumb (3:05) - if you know one of her sister is Madam Xu shouldn't you assume that she would come visit...especially with her money/power. Shiyi is a straight gangsta whenever she has to use other to force her way. Like the moldy rice situation with Con. Qiao got in her way then.
@@arilu89x the family didn't really care anymore about their status once their son died. They put all of their hopes and dreams on him but he was killed. When he died the family stopped caring about the day to day operation. It's one of the reasons the concubine was able to seize control over the family assets. It made it easier for her to try to kill Erniang too.
You're right Shiyi knows how to take care of business. She also knows how to deal with a stubborn Erniang. All the crap that Erniang has pulled she was very lucky that Shiyi still cared about her. She even taught Erniang's maid how to handle her. My girl was a bad a$$ especially when she's fighting for her family. Remember when she told Lingyi that she doesn't know how to use other people's power to throw her weight around? She lied...lol She didn't need his power because she had her own. She picked her battles/she chose when to use her power. She was the Xu family's MVP
@@shontelagrone8713 When Shiyi said that to him she was needling him, because she knew that he had come to pick a fight and she was ready to give him one.
@@arilu89x she knew how to get under his skin...lol He took notice of her during their various encounters before she married into the Xu family. She didn't hold back especially when she was calling him out. She definitely knew how to get the last word...lol He wasn't used to a woman like her. She didn't fawn over him. She didn't care about his status. She was exactly what he needed.
