Does not logic, reasoning and judgment tell us that Christ Jesus is the Son of God and not the Almighty God himself.? You mentioned the events in the garden where he begged his Father with the empathetic, emotional side of his human brain and said, “ Father, let this cup pass from me” but then he turns in submission to what his Father wants and says, “but let not my Will but Your Will take place.” Logic and reason tells us there’s an interaction between two persons, is that not so? Two separate Minds and Wills. Also in the account in Matthew 16:13-16 Jesus in no uncertain terms, without and mystery tells us who he is. It said, Jesus asked his disciples: “Who are men saying the Son of man is?” 14 They said: “Some say John the Baptist, others E·liʹjah, and still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them: “You, though, who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 In response Jesus said to him: “Happy you are, Simon son of Joʹnah, because flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but my Father in the heavens did. Yes his Father in heaven did. But the Father, our Creator also has a Name. So important a Name that he had it recorded almost 7,000 time through the Holy writings! and I know You know it. To obey His Commandments and follow His statutes and precepts. As those who are mentioned in Hebbrews 11 (the faith chaper ) Only with the help of Jesus Christ are we able to accomplish this 😊
Not sure how scientific the brain picture is. So basic it's almost unhelpful. The right part of the brain is where our memories and stories and character are formed and where we respond from before we get to the prefrontal cortex which is in the concious part after we've already acted in the faster than concious part. Trauma is when we respond emotionally unconsciously and normally more than the current situation warrants. Without reframing and healing the past trauma, with all the will in the world (which is a concious decision) the body will have acted in the faster automatic non-conciuos part. Only after that trauma reaction is healed can we then work on our thoughts and change those.
KJ, my initials also. The doctrine of the 'Trinity' is one of the hardest things to understand. But, with Christianity as a whole, you have to believe by 'Faith'. It starts in the book of Genesis when God said "Let there be light!!" The father speaks things into being, the Holy Spirit moved over a matter and the Son holds all things together. Then further on God says , "Let Us make man in Our image." He's talking to the Son and the Holy Spirit. There was a preacher, teacher named David Pawson, he just passed a couple of years ago. Watch his lessons on the 'Trinity'; he explains it better than most.
