You have stated very valid reasons why one should not opt for the new Himalayan. I agree with most of the reasons. Here are some add-ons. 1. You forgot to mention the weight of the luggage when lifting the bike. A common use case scenario will be when one goes on a long ride with saddle bags/panniers+ Top box+tank bag. The weight of all these things + the weight of the bike + and low traction will surely be a pain in case you ride solo. 2. One big drawback for the new Himalayan as well as the old one is the tube-type tires (till the time the company plans to bring the tubeless version). During long rides, it will surely create unnecessary hassle due to the unavailability of petrol pumps and mechanics at high altitude regions. Trust me doing a tube-type tire repair all by yourself is no joke. 3. Seat height is still one big issue among short riders. This issue gets amplified when one is doing off-road terrain. Also, how comfortable it will be while commuting is still a big question.

Don’t know if it makes sense of you comparing the Himalayan with a tiger. Other than the fact that both have 21 inch spoke wheel I don’t see any other similarities. My opinion is that it is on the rider as well as to how a bike handles. There are many Africa Twin owners who love to take their bikes on twisties. It also comes with 21 inch front wheel.

@@Jatinsharmafamily Spot on what you said I agree. I have now had two RE 411 Himalayan Motorcycles and I enjoy riding it very much. As long as you accept the bikes limitations and purchase it with all that in mind. I fancy having the new 452 RE Himalayan but as it's a very new bike, I will wait until I see a lot more reports after it has been on the market for awhile. It usually takes about two years for all reports to come back for a more balanced view on a new model Motorcycle. HM Scram 452 Whould be Perfect For All Types of thing But Still we can Buy HM 452 For Many Reasons as many People are Buying Reborn Classic 350 Which is Also 195Kg and Standerd Weight is 198-200Kg and Riding in All Cities, Villages, Terrains can Handle Very Easily. So HM 452 Whould be Still Good to Buy Because it is Good Looking, Very Powerful, Refined, More Features, More Premiums , and Also Good Personality, Good Tashan than the Classic 350cc. 💪🙏🏻
Cornering is difficult for all heavy bikes especially royal Enfield, also tube less tyres are option in Himalayan 450, also they are launching roadster 450 and scram 450 with lots of features, let's wait and see
Just install Tubliss system , ive installed it on my last 5 dual sports and adv bikes . Its the best product ever made.and never worry about flats.again! Just carry a plug kit and small air compressor. Worse comes to worse you can run flat to get you home or safe place to fix.
I purchased a ktm 250 adv and am struggling with height, weight and overall dimensions in the city. Just like you I have to use a lot of muscle every day which is really difficult being a skinny guy.
Hi Jitendra, thank you for watching and sharing your experience. I can understand the difficulty however currently KTM has light weight bikes and l am not sure what is lighter than KTM bikes at this moment. Try riding it more and more n probably after sometime weight should not bother you. Thank you Jitendra for supporting me 🤗🤗
The website shows it is just 175 kgs, when I looked at my RC card weight it mentioned 188 kgs. On top I added accessories, now it will be close to the 200 kg mark.
Hai nice video. Want to ask a question. For city ride and highway rides I am confused to buy a bike. Between Triumph speed 400 and Bajaj dominar and Triumph Scrambler 400x and Harley Davidson x440. Which is the best option?
Hey Jatin, this is my first view of your video. Very useful to make decision. I really appreciate the information you shared. Keep up the good work bro.
Bro i am looking for an offroader bike, i need a bike with good seating comfort and less shoulder pain prefers upright seating, can i buy Himalayan 450?..asking you is because i dont find anyone mentioning cons about this bike and also am bit scared, since it is new to the market and my friend faced very bad experience from himalayan 411 when it was initially launched. Afterall it is my hard earned money and i dont want to be a part of companie's issue testing. Please advise.
Hi Bro, thank you do much for giving your time for this video and writing to me. Bro, your concern is very legit and I would also advise you to wait for the first batch to come out as this is completely new bike hence initial teething problems will be there in initial batch. It is not small amount so wait for now otherwise bike is amazing and best at this price.
Hi bro, thanks for watching and writing to me. Bro, I did not face any vibrations at 100-110kph. After that I did observe some vibrations but that is expected from a single cylinder engine. I can safely say that this is by far the best RE engine in its class.
Himalayan suspension is very comfortable and has 200mm travel. So it can soak in bad roads and works really well off road. Cruiser bikes have normal suspension with less travel. They can’t be compared.
@@Jatinsharmafamily thank you for your information, but if it has so much travel, will it not cause jerky ride because of too much bouncing, or damping will take care of it
@@Jatinsharmafamily i had disc injury, currently have fzs, but its suspension is stiff, so was thinking of purchasing a new bike, will test ride Himalayan and meteor
One reason is enough to avoid Himalayan .. It’s from Royal Enfield . Fun apart I also own Himalayan … faced many issues within 2 years of riding.. so it’s my personal experience, i will say the same thing avoid Himalayan , major probem is they are not reliable.
Thanks Manish, for giving your time to this video and sharing your experience. Really beneficial for the viewers. I saw the new Himalayan and it looks great. Hopefully RE has fixed all the issues.👍🤗🤗🤗
❤ thanks for the valuable information if someone rides the Himalayan in the city. Please suggest some options for those who need a city ride with the feeling of Himalayan.... I am waiting for your reply. Once again thanks for the valuable information ❤
Hi Amit, thank you so much for watching and writing to me. Amit below is the video I made on Himalayan in city condition: BS6 HIMALAYAN City Ride review | 2021 first ride | jatinsharmavlogs czcams.com/video/3Hr7o13mYNw/video.html You can watch it to see how it looks. I will for sure make a separate video on how to ride adv in city based on my riding experience with tiger800.
Bro good to have the review , was about to book the Himalayan for my touring experience . So what would u suggest for under 5 Lakh budget for touring purpose.
Hi Vinkab749, thank you for watching and writing to me. For touring + city ride I would look for following attributes in a bike: 1. Good suspension with atleast 150mm of travel to take on different terrains 2. Ground clearance at least 185mm 3. Comfortable seat 4. Good fuel tank capacity (13-15 ltrs is good) so as to have less stops 5. Decent power to tackle different terrains (min 30 bhp to 35nm ) so if there is a power drop in high altitude atleast decent power is left over Any bike that ticks ✔️ majority or all the boxes at less cost purchase, maintenance and high reliability will be my choice Short answer Himalayan or Scrambler 400x is sensible choice provided if Himalayan is in the same price bracket otherwise my pick would be Scrambler 400x at this moment. And if KTm 390 adventure comes in the same price then that is my pick but that’s bot the case. Hope I could give some meaningful insight. Do let me know bro🤗🤗🤗👍
@@Jatinsharmafamily thanks for this eye-opener vlog. Could you please suggest a few options under 3 lacs that will fulfill all 5 points? I don't have the budget for 390adv.
Greeting Jatin.. I am looking for a suggestion. I am 37 and have owned Thunderbird 500 and currently avengar 220. I downgraded from TB to Avenger because of Quality issues of RE and dont want to own any RE now. I am looking for a touring bike as i feel avengar is little underpowered with pillion and luggage., I want bike which cn cruise at 100 like breeze. I have drill down to KTM 250 Adv, suzuki vstorm 250, Honda highness. What would you suggest among these for my usage. The point i am worried about these 3 models is. KTM is costly, Suzuki , will i get spares and service in future? . Honda, Bigwing only and feels really bulky . Thanks. Would you like to suggest any other , i would appreciate.
Hi bro, thank you for watching and sharing your question. I think for 100kph with breeze for touring Triumph scrambler 400x is really good. Top notch quality and performance. Second best is Honda however Hness is not very comfortable for touring. Suzuki vstrom is a good option but can’t match the performance and quality of scrambler 400x. So overall in my opinion Triumph Scrambler 400x should be something you can test ride and decide.
@@Jatinsharmafamily Thanks for your suggestion. I would certainly look into it. Why do you say Highness is not comfortable for touring? If i add inclined handlebar risers i think posture will corect. 1 more point tha\t i do not prefer to buy new bikes as 1st lot generally have issues.
Hi Harshal, thanks bro for watching and writing. Hunter is a good bike for the money but I would not bet my money on it if my need is city bike. As it is having very hard suspension kind of uncomfortable. So I would add little bit more choose Honda or classic. And yes scram 452 can be great choice provided it is priced right.
i am looking for a bike with tubeless tyres(scared of punctures) that can handle highways fast and also city potholes and speedbreakers without slowing down. i think only new 450 can do it.
Himalayan as of now will be offered with tube tyres in India however for international market it will come with tubeless tyres hence if you are living out of India then for sure Himalayan would do all wish for👍
Hi Praveen, thank you bro for watching and writing to me. If you are riding only in city and occasionally on highway then scram400x would be good. As this is lighter and agile. However if you wish to do touring, city commute and occasional off road then Himalayan is better. As this is bigger so you can load more luggage, pillion friendly and has longer tank range thanks to 17ltrs fuel tank. If weight and tube tyres does not bother you then Himalayan is fine otherwise scram400x is a good choice at this point I time.
Hi Jatin, need honest advice. Currently I have Dom 400, done 85k kms... And confused to buy my next bike. I do ride 5% off road and 95% road. Which bike would u suggest.
Hi Vivek, I am yet to ride Scrambler 400x however can say that it would be amazing on road and fairly capable off road. Here is my two cents:- On the basis of your usage more road focused bike would make more sense therefore I would say Scrambler 400x. Lighter, quicker and fairly equipped. Dominar is great machine so now if you which to upgrade then going into 600cc category would be a different matter. What’s your way?
CFMotot bikes are made with KTM and cheaper. I am interestred in. Check it out. they have 450 till 800 cc. and good price , many options are on . Dont need to buy them.
Wrong about the tyres on Himalayan 452. They are tubeless. Cross that one off your list. Heavy in an advantage in windy conditions but, yeah it is hard to lift, especially if you do it wrong like you did. Try lifting it like you would a Harley; back to bike and take little steps.
Hi bro, thanks for watching and writing. I mentioned very clearly that for India Himalayan comes with tube tyres as of now. I mentioned weight comes in the way when riding it in the city and not on highway. Lifting a heavy bike is not easy no matter what technique you use and it gets difficult as the terrain gets challenging. I hope I could explain
Bro no offence but did you even drive New Himalayan and are you comparing Tiger of that scale vehicle with Himalayan. It would be stupidest comparison ever. I waited for Hinalayan for 3 years and I don't think any of these things you mentioned are going to bother me. Plus the price point at which I am getting Himalayan & also the service network of RE is worth considering. 1. From the series of videos it has been observed that Himalayan is powerful, beginner friendly, handles well on twisties even with 21 inces 2. I love stance of bike which looks big on city roads.. I would prefer comfortable Hinalayan for my daily 15km office ride 3. I had 200kg thunderbird which I dropped multiple times but didn't face much difficulty lifting it after couple of drops 4. RE is launching tubeless rims soon.
Sandeep, thank you for watching and writing. I have absolutely not compared Himalayan with Tiger. Not even once I have mentioned it the entire video. Second, I have said very clearly what is evident in Himalayan. Last I have said that there are many reasons to buy HIMALAYAN. SO OVERALL I AM SAYING HIMALAYAN IS CERY CAPABLE MACHINE AND TO BE BOUGHT TO USE IT TO ITS FULL CAPABILITIES AND IF YOU DON’T want to do it then avoid it.
@@Jatinsharmafamily Thanks for the reply. Biking is more aspirational than a purpose oriented for 90% of the people. I would be one of those 90% as I won't be doing much of long rides but just 200-300km once in two months and mostly I will use it in city. Himalayan is my dream since 2019.
1. Best I would take my bike is on the highways and Soft roading at most, 2. I would love to see other bikes on this 452 platform, like a Roadster version

Hi bhai, thank you for watching and asking. Triumph has been making some amazing machine for the past many years and people ride these bikes for many years. If maintained well these bikes will last long so I am very confident that 400TR series engine are similar as should have no problem in long term. You can go for it. All the best👍🤗🤗🤗
Not sure about the number but it is very manageable. Handle bar provides good angle and does not lock up early thereby helps in tight turn. I rode the Himalayan450 you can watch it on my channel , I hope that gives you some idea👍
Hi Chetan bhai, thank you for watching, Writing and sharing. I think Yezdi is a good bike with good value for money. However, I have no experience with Yezdi hence can not comment. all I can say that it is priced really well hence it is worth taking a test ride. This will help you decide🤗🤗🤗🤗👍
I agree and disagree both on everything you said. I have just got the 452 and been riding it in the city. On top of that I am a really short rider as well. What you're stating is a common factor with ALL ADV motorcycles. And I suggest try riding the new Himalayan on roads and twisties. It is surprisingly easy to maneuver around every bent or on a straight.
Hi bro, I really appreciate your message. I agree and have mentioned the same that advs comes with these traits and if someone can’t ignore or live with them then they should avoid adv like Himalayan. I rode Himalayan already and loved it thoroughly. You can check out my recent two videos on Himalayan. I hope it should make it more clearer. Thank for watching and supporting 🤗🤗🤗
Jatin bhai, Best thing about this video is that you showed the clips from your ride to prove your points. I am currently riding Honda CB350 Hness. Height 5 feet 6 inch ( 7 inch with boot). I want to upgrade. Which bike would you suggest brother. KTM 390 ADV (standard and SW version), Himalayan 452 etc is in my mind. You can also suggest a different bike. Budget 5L (can go up if it offers value)
Hi Sumant, thank you so much for the feedback and support 🤗🤗🤗👍. Sumant, below 5lakh I would check below bikes: 1. KTM adv 390 base variant (better on road bike) 2. Himalayan 450 (better off and on road bike for city it is ok but have similar difficulty all adventure bikes has) 3. Scrambler 400x (if mostly it’s city and highway ride and only 5%off road) Please test ride all these bikes and see which one appeal to you and your riding preferences. Do let me know if you have any query. My best wishes for you.
But, the engine is nice, at least it has more torque than other high reving same power engines (although lesser rev range). I am waiting for meteor 452.
Hi Sujay, thank you so much for watching and writing. Yes, indeed very good power figures and available at low rpm. I am sure it will be very different experience in a roadster, cruiser format. All the best. Thanks for Supporting 🤗🤗🤗🤗👍
Thanks bro for watching and sharing your question. Yes, you can go for it. There is a power drop of 30% however still enough power leftover to pull the stuff.

Hi bro, you are right in the beginning they are not comfortable but once get good experience they are very comfortable and practical for our roads. Thank you bro for watching and writing 🤗🤗🤗👍
Why are you on any bike. You say the bikes to heavy to lift easy don't drop it. It's to tall I'm 5 foot 3' inside leg of 26 inches. I lowered my himalayan . I do all of my riding on the open roads. I changed my tyres to metzeler tourance. What a different. . I buy a bike and run it then I start changing things so the bike will do what I want .millions are spend in research and development in every bike. Stick to riding the bike rather than doing a review on them to compare a the himalayan against the triumph. 😂 no no no . I couldn't review my himalayan against my speed triple. Yes it's been lowered as well. . Rant off . Get back to riding.
What I am saying it as follow: If you complaint about 21”wheel, weight, tube tyres then do go for it and if you are fine with all of these then GO FOR IT. Additionally I have not compared it with Tiger rather it’s an adv reference only
Sid bro, I rode it multiple times already. I ride advs most of the times so kind of have a bit experience. 😄😄😄 I in fact made few videos of this amazing machine. Do watch them. But thanks for watching and writing to me. Keep supporting 🤗🤗🤗
Great Dude.. the epic dialogue of the year is "Himalayan has never been as close to tiger as it is now". 😂 Don't forget that your comparing Himalayan (approx 4 lakhs) with a bike that have 2.5x price ( 10 lakhs +). Waa beta waa😂.
Bhai Saab, tiger come at 16laks inroad minimum. I did not compare Himalayan and tiger. As a reference adv few attributes are taken up like height, weight and wheel size. I don’t think it’s a comparison with tiger .
Bro, right now RE is importing the tubeless spoke rims for international market and it will be available for India in couple of months. Can’t say with certainty on the actual time however it can may be from 2-6months. 🤗🤗🤗👍

That is true . It will give a very sensible option to many. Thank you bro for watching, writing and supporting 🤗🤗🤗🤗👍
Cornering is difficult for all heavy bikes especially royal Enfield, also tube less tyres are option in Himalayan 450, also they are launching roadster 450 and scram 450 with lots of features, let's wait and see
Very true🤗👍
Hi Manzoor, thank you bro.
If the purpose is mainly city ride and highway run then Scrambler 400x is good for it.
Agree with you.
Nice vlog
Because of your 4 reasons, i had sold my old himalayan BS6 after riding only 1500 KM.
Hi bro, thank you for watching and sharing. I hope you agree to these points?
For me old Himalayan is best. That change whole prospective of riding in every road of India.
Old Himalayan was amazing off road however was not similar on highway touring and city rides. But that bike created its own fan base.
Thanks bro for educating prospective buyers of Himalayan for taking informed buying decisions 👏 👍 👌
Thank you so much for the encouraging comments and continuous support🤗👍
@@Jatinsharmafamilybro thankyou so much for your valuable feedback ❤
I took test ride i went like a rocket i didnt observe variation in bangalore traffic...may be in future ? i may face plz provide reply
Hi bro, thanks for watching and writing to me.
Bro, I did not face any vibrations at 100-110kph. After that I did observe some vibrations but that is expected from a single cylinder engine. I can safely say that this is by far the best RE engine in its class.
Thank you. I now avoid the tiger, and buy a hymalian
Good choice 👍 and I made a video on Himalayan as well hope that helps 👇

True, applicable for all 400Cc
Great video. Thank you!
How is suspension in Himalayan, what is difference between suspension in bikes like Himalayan and cruiser bikes like meteor
Amit below is the video I made on Himalayan in city condition:
BS6 HIMALAYAN City Ride review | 2021 first ride | jatinsharmavlogs
czcams.com/video/3Hr7o13mYNw/video.html
You can watch it to see how it looks.
For touring + city ride I would look for following attributes in a bike:
1. Good suspension with atleast 150mm of travel to take on different terrains
2. Ground clearance at least 185mm
3. Comfortable seat
4. Good fuel tank capacity (13-15 ltrs is good) so as to have less stops
5. Decent power to tackle different terrains (min 30 bhp to 35nm ) so if there is a power drop in high altitude atleast decent power is left over
Any bike that ticks ✔️ majority or all the boxes at less cost purchase, maintenance and high reliability will be my choice
Short answer Himalayan or Scrambler 400x is sensible choice provided if Himalayan is in the same price bracket otherwise my pick would be Scrambler 400x at this moment.
Also budget is max. 2.5 lakh ex showroom
If you want to ride in the city then go for Hunter 350, Scram 411 or wait for roadster 450 or 452 is it correct ?
Hi Harshal, thanks bro for watching and writing.
Hunter is a good bike for the money but I would not bet my money on it if my need is city bike. As it is having very hard suspension kind of uncomfortable. So I would add little bit more choose Honda or classic. And yes scram 452 can be great choice provided it is priced right.
@@Jatinsharmafamily and what about the upcoming 450 or 452cc bike on Himalayan platform ?
i am looking for a bike with tubeless tyres(scared of punctures) that can handle highways fast and also city potholes and speedbreakers without slowing down.
i think only new 450 can do it.
Himalayan as of now will be offered with tube tyres in India however for international market it will come with tubeless tyres hence if you are living out of India then for sure Himalayan would do all wish for👍
@@Jatinsharmafamily I'm in India and waiting for the break even of the product and by then would get tubeless too. 👍too
@me23xfhg all the best bro👍
@@Jatinsharmafamily thanks 👍 for ur channel
Thn if use bike predominantly in city n all 4 conditions are actually fulfilled then which bike I will buy for city as my budget is 3-3.5 lacs
Here is my two cents:-
On the basis of your usage more road focused bike would make more sense therefore I would say Scrambler 400x.
Dont need to buy them.
nice! i thought you will be blasting 452 with many negative comments. However, at last there are 40 reasons to but himalayan 😛
😀😀true🤗🤗👍
1. From the series of videos it has been observed that Himalayan is powerful, beginner friendly, handles well on twisties even with 21 inces
2. I love stance of bike which looks big on city roads.. I would prefer comfortable Hinalayan for my daily 15km office ride
3. I had 200kg thunderbird which I dropped multiple times but didn't face much difficulty lifting it after couple of drops
@sandeep4uin for sure. As I said there are 40 reasons to buy Himalayan so go for it. All the best
You look a bit like Elvis Presley 👍
Thank you Stench, for the great compliment 🤗👍
Good review bro
Thank you Sayed bro👍
Himalayan is a good entry price for a genuine off-road however the Tigers purr with the triple has never been surpassed by any of the competition.

Jatin bhaiya Triumph scrambler 400X TR series ka jo engine h wo long term me kaise rehga. I mean main jo bike leta hu eo kavi sell out neh karta. Please suggest I want to buy that bike
@@Jatinsharmafamily much love bhaiya ❤️
Any idea what is the turning radius?
Not sure about the number but it is very manageable. Handle bar provides good angle and does not lock up early thereby helps in tight turn.
I rode the Himalayan450 you can watch it on my channel , I hope that gives you some idea👍
For me its only 4th one. Hoping to get tubeless.
Yes Amit, hopefully they arrive soon👍👍thanks for watching and supporting 🤗🤗👍
Useful information
WOW, 4 reasons not to buy, and 40 to buy. I like the odds......😀
Bro what about yezdi adventure should i go for it
Hi Chetan bhai, thank you for watching,
Writing and sharing. I think Yezdi is a good bike with good value for money. However, I have no experience with Yezdi hence can not comment. all I can say that it is priced really well hence it is worth taking a test ride. This will help you decide🤗🤗🤗🤗👍
Waiting for 40 reason to buy Himalayan and plz compair with 390 ADV
Hi Arpit, thank you for watching, writing and supporting. For sure 👍

Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for watching, appreciating and supporting 🤗🤗🤗👍
Bangalore is heaven for off road
Indian roads are off roads because of pits🤣🤣🤣
Very true Jatinder 😀👍
Jatin bhai, Best thing about this video is that you showed the clips from your ride to prove your points.
I am currently riding Honda CB350 Hness. Height 5 feet 6 inch ( 7 inch with boot). I want to upgrade.
Which bike would you suggest brother. KTM 390 ADV (standard and SW version), Himalayan 452 etc is in my mind.
You can also suggest a different bike. Budget 5L (can go up if it offers value)
Hi Sumant, thank you so much for the feedback and support 🤗🤗🤗👍.
Sumant, below 5lakh I would check below bikes:
1. KTM adv 390 base variant (better on road bike)
2. Himalayan 450 (better off and on road bike for city it is ok but have similar difficulty all adventure bikes has)
3. Scrambler 400x (if mostly it’s city and highway ride and only 5%off road)
Please test ride all these bikes and see which one appeal to you and your riding preferences.
If our hometown in hilly areas So We can go for it .
Thanks bro for watching and sharing your question.
Yes, you can go for it. There is a power drop of 30% however still enough power leftover to pull the stuff.
Welcome bro
But apna ghr hp mai hai or offroad uff.....very danger offroad hota hai or baki bike ka accessories pura hip jata hai that's y I will go for it🥲i m still waiting for 450himalyan
And then theres someone who scraped the footpegs in Manali on the new Himalayan.
Indeed very good skills. However in general advs are not meant for this.
This video is for people without prejudice.
Interesting! Cheers

If you're willing to raise budget by 20k go for triumph scrambler 400X

These bikes are not at all practical in city traffic.
Hi bro, you are right in the beginning they are not comfortable but once get good experience they are very comfortable and practical for our roads.
Thank you bro for watching and writing 🤗🤗🤗👍
Subbed 😎
Cool.....'Pain in the neck'😅.
What I am saying it as follow:
If you complaint about 21”wheel, weight, tube tyres then do go for it and if you are fine with all of these then GO FOR IT.
Additionally I have not compared it with Tiger rather it’s an adv reference only
Bro you could have at least rented a Himalayan while giving its review rather than showing a triumph.😂😂😂
Sid bro, I rode it multiple times already. I ride advs most of the times so kind of have a bit experience. 😄😄😄 I in fact made few videos of this amazing machine. Do watch them.
