  • Note: This is a revised release of a video that aired last week. Some of the audio did not come trough, so we decided to fix it and release it again. This is important enough of a topic that we felt it could be put up 2 times.
    In this episode we use our newly acquired termite truck on a job for the first time. One of our subscribers named the truck "Smurfette" and we give her a shake down run on a new construction termite treatment. Pre-treating a new structure is the best way to protect against termites in this area. We use the best product on the market for this job and do the full treatment as described in the label, no short cuts!
    We have found that many companies claim to do a proper pre-treat, but they don't apply according to the label, and that is essentially stealing from the consumer. We decided to show you how it should be done to comply with the label.
    Thanks for watching!
    Thanks for bearing with us on this duplicate release.

    Most labels call for 1 gallon per 10 square feet. You kept saying 100 square feet. That's fine as long as you are multiplying that to 10 gallons.

      Yes, sometimes explaining math is the challenge. We always want it according to the label. Yes 10x10 square is 100sq ft so 10 gal.

      @@julioavitia7660 this one was a crappy custom garden hose trigger and pipe. We have since upgraded to a Robco type gun with the hose extension attached to it. Google Robco QCG gun.

    How much per square feet for the home owner? Is it a different price for industrial construction?

      It depends on the product. In this video we used the most expensive product but average is about $15-17 per sq ft.

    Is this done automatically by builders or do home owners let them know and contract someone to do this

    • @pestcontrolguys
      @pestcontrolguys  Před rokem +2

      The builder can add it, as an extra cost typically the builder will not do it unless requested.

      That brings up a good point. It has to be done according to the label otherwise it is illegal.
