    My husband and I enjoy Las Vegas one time per year. We stay usually 4 days. I bring $200 per day. I play $100 in the afternoon and $100 in the evening. I'm proud to say I am CHEAP😂! I purchase a hazelnut latte and enjoy playing. I also have a gamblers box. We budget for all of our expenses down to the penny...food, uber, tips,, gambling and shows. Praise God we are debt free and own our home out right.

    I love your shows. They are realistic. While other shows may be entertaining, I know the majority of people don't have the budget to blow $6000-10,000 a trip and not realistic. Keep doing what you are doing.

    The key point made early “in the long run, you will lose”. Any of us that plays regularly definitely will agree. Having said that, there are days when you will win, guaranteed! That’s the fun of it. The other week, we made about $800 profit. The week before we lost more than double that!

    I recently won my first hand pay imagine my surprise . Your advice is so right on .Setting a budget /limit ,changing machines if not successful, realizing what I call hot and cold times . I’ve noticed that when I put some winnings back, and cash out often that I take some of their money home . I always play for entertainment. When I one that hand pay I could hear my brothers voice saying “ play the $5 machine and my voice saying no I’m not going to do it . He usually give his money( winnings) back . I also found that separating the money I take into smaller segments held to keep track better , because you can get caught up .

    I find having an attitude where I don't go to the casino to make profit so enhancing to my main reason for going. I go to distract my mind for a limited time with a limited budget. IF I happen to make a profit that day, cool! But it is never my goal. I find playing slots, with a strict budget, relaxing, and it's nostalgic, because I liked going with my mom when she was with us when I was younger; good memories attached. Great video guys, thanks for all your shared knowledge.

  • @SharlettePoe
    @SharlettePoe Před rokem +22

    Want to thank you both for an awesome channel with great videos that are fun and also give us practical guidance and useful information to help increase our chances of coming out ahead or at least breaking even.
    Your budgeting, build up, cash out and squirreling away strategies made my recent trip more fun, and less stressful when I returned home. I'm already planning for my next trip! Just travel costs alone for 5 days/4 nights run us about 2500/person before play money is calculated in, so maximizing enjoyment and entertainment is a priority.
    Your strategies made a huge difference for those of us who used them, and for those who didn't they agreed they should have. 😂
    From watching all your videos I knew that smart budgeting, patience and discipline would be important. So, I started by paying my bills ahead, and then looked at the total amount I could comfortably afford to play with. Broke that down over the 5 days, planned out each visit to the different casinos we chose so could find where the low volatility machines were located and what denominations and lines, figured out which ones to start with based upon the "at least 100 spins" and numbered by priority which to start at. Then I sat down to enjoy.
    There were high volatility games I wanted to try but disciplined myself to do so only if I built up my bankroll for the day enough to support the number of spins I'd need for a good session, and set a floor amount that I stuck to except twice because I chased a bonus on one and chased a jackpot on another. Boy, was that a lesson learned; cleaned me out on those tickets!
    Before that I did hit good a few times on $1 Triple and Double Diamond, Pinball and Top Dollar, and other similar games that helped me move up to $5 Triple Stars, Pinball and other games and hit good a few times so I moved up to $1 @ $10/spin on Triple/Double Diamond Free Games Triple Big Wheel. Did well on that one, too, but I wasn't brave enough to go any higher 😂
    For the higher volatility games I did sit down next to my cousin at a machine with multiple Jackpots and bonus round I'd never heard of called Jin Feng Gold Phoenix and got very lucky. I hit the 2nd top Jackpot that was actually higher than the top Jackpot at $2800+ on like maybe my 8th spin.
    Tbh, I didn't win anything on the higher volatility games but was able to enjoy the experience because I used your strategies to get ahead versus stressing out because I'm losing. The discipline of cashing out the ticket on games I got ahead on and putting it away and putting in fresh bills if I wanted to continue helped me not get carried away and blowing all the winnings.
    To keep from spending the winnings at other casinos I didn't cash the tickets in until the last day (we stayed in middle of the places we played at), and came home with much more than I originally spent on the entire trip. Including a second half that was business in DC.
    Sorry this was so long, but wanted to show how your various videos have helped me (and my group) on our latest trip; and also hope my sharing helps others with their planning. Aloha!

I was surprised but I did have a good year. I had 21 hand pays that year. This year I have had 9 hand pays. So far they total yo about $23,000.

  • @steveday805

    Watching this 13 hours later. Best thing I heard, be realistic. If you are gambling with $20-$40, if you double it, you have done great! Love the honesty you guys have. BTW, born and raised in Riverton, pretty cool to see some almost home town boys.

    • @steveday805
      @steveday805 Před rokem

      @HC-sb1ru No, I don't frequent very often, but when I do, my budget is more than $20-$40. I believe it would be tough to stop if that was my budget and I doubled my money (since I'm not a consistent gambler). I would want to try and double it again. Now with my "luck", I would lose what I won and probably go back to the ATM and get another $20-$40.
      Where I live they have the electronic pull tab machines (look like slots but are pull tabs), those I set a $40 limit on. If I double my money, I cash out and call it good. It doesn't take long to burn $40 in those machines and have nothing to show for it.

    Out of 5 trips to my local casino I won 2 out of 5 times. I take a $200 bankroll if I double to $400 I pocket the $200 and play a higher slot that’s what everyone should do to have fun. If I 4X or more my $200 bankroll it’s time to stop. Last trip was awesome won $1.500. Take the $$$ and run. If I lose $200. I had fun, if I double or make more it I walk out with no losses or $$$$.

    Watching this right now on my tv. I can't agree more with everything you're saying. I recently bought a lock box and when I won a decent amount this weekend (after blowing through over half of it) went back to my room and put $300 in the lockbox. That's what I ended up leaving with and felt a bit relief I'd done so. I have a good amount of freeplay between Sunday and Monday at the HR in Tampa, so I plan on downloading it in about $20 to $30 increments, and when I win a decent amount, put half in the lockbox and then download more freeplay.

    Absolutely hit the nail with the pick the right machines on the $100.00 challenge. I have about 3 that hit for me often doing this, they don't hit for very much, but its enough to climb to the $200.00 mark over time. As soon as I hit a bonus, its on to the next machine. I've had sessions that all 3 machines in a row will end on a bonus. And I'm up and out of there for a bit.

    New subscribers here (me and the husband). Love your channel and really learning a lot! Today, we took our small budget of $50 ( we’re retired) and tried our chance at the $.25 machines. We followed the rules for machine selection. The first machine we played got
    up to almost doubling our money ($96); I kept at it hoping to reach the full $100. I played down to $50 and took a break. (I played that machine for 45
    minutes which was great!)
    Afterwards I selected a similar machine but luck was not with me. However, I felt good about my playing, more confident
    and not as stingy ( we used to
    only play penny slots). We are keeping track and will definitely try again in another week or two. ( Should I have stopped at the $96 and moved onto the $1 slots?? - was that close enough?) Thanks for the tips! We’ll keep watching!

    Slot players also can’t or won’t face their own luck threshold. I’ve been playing slots basically since I was a child because my father had a slot machine in our family tavern in Chicago, but I know that I am not a lucky slot player. Sometimes I can go on a run and whatever I touch I win on, but those times are very few and far between. And yet I worked for a woman who I swore was lying about how lucky she was when she played… Until I spent a few days with her in Vegas and saw for myself that she was indeed a very, very skilled & lucky slot machine player. Just sayin’….love the support you guys give us and the level-headed advice you lay out about budgeting…we need this!💕

    My friend and I go to our local casino a few times a month. If we win enough to pay for our lunch we're happy. We have our favorite slots and usually come out with $100 - $125

    Good point on not quitting when things aren't going well; just because you budget $500 for a session doesn't mean you HAVE to lose it all. Also, NEVER use the casino's ATM machines; the fees are usually outrageous. I live in Las Vegas currently and local 7-11 stores have no-fee ATMs with locations all over town.

    After watching a bunch of your videos I've started looking for penny slots with 30 60 90 150 credits and playing max bet. If i start getting below my comfort level I go down to 60 and build back up. When I win a decent amount I cash out and put that aside. Then i decide if i want to stay there or move on. After two visits i have a bankroll of almost $300 on $40 or $50 to start.
    Today my friend finally took the plunge and did the same thing. Put in $10 and ended up with $100. She said to tell you lol

    I have fun it's a day out. I go when I feel like it because I can afford it. I usually Play 50 cents or $1. If I win a few hundred dollars I take it home. I already have money so I think I'm going there for the fun. My real money is in the bank making money. I am debt-free and have a very nice retirement fund.

    I always ask jackpot winners how much it cost them to win. The average occasional gambler isn't hitting 10k.Friends brag about winnings , but they are complusive life long gamblers lol. Appreciate your realistic approach and guidelines.

    Gambling always goes in waves, living in Vegas, I've gone many months in a row where I'm winning enough to live larger and I've gone many months living smaller. There are no sure ways to predict it, but at the end of the day that's what makes it fun. If we lost all the tine we wouldn't return, if we won everytime it would be boring, so I try to stretch the good times and limit the bad times, but that is the challenge that most people cannot balance well, hence the payday loan industry lol Good Luck and thanks for the vids.

    Excellent advice! The only thing that works for me is leaving my bank card at home. I'm not playing big bets but even with the smallest ones the losses add up. A week ago I won $1,000 Grand Bonus on Dragon Link playing 50 cents bets. What happened next? I lost $700 the same day.

  • @1mustangsally

    Went back to the casino today with my friend after watching your how to's all day. I picked a simple machine because I'm still trying to figure them out. It was called Wild Blue or something, a penny slot. I put in $20 and bet the max like you said.
    About 6 or 7 spins in I hit the bonus and won 15 free spins. That netted me about $55 for a total of 73.35 including the credits i had left and i cashed it out. At that point I guess i could have gone to another slot but i was having fun where i was so I stuck another 20 and hit another bonus for 11 free spins and then I hit ANOTHER bonus for 15 free spins and in there I landed MORE for a total of 35 free spins. I ended up cashing out $96.20 on a $20 investment on that one so I ended up with 129.55 on $40. That will be my next bankroll. Not a bad start
    And then my friend came over and saw what i was doing and i said try it. She won a bit, too, but she only put $10 in

      @1mustangsally Před 21 dnem

      Finally convinced my friend to bid the max. I said bid what you can afford so she put $10 into that Wild Blue or whatever it is at 1.50 and left with $100

    I like watching your videos. I tried your handpay jackpot method. It did not work. No problem, it was fun while it lasted. I do want to try your method again. I will however go with less money than I did when I tried your handpay method for the first time. I brought 100 dollars. I will only go to the casino in the future with only 50 dollars. I did set upper and lower limits. I moved to a different machine when I hit the lower limit. I don't think I will max bet next time. While I had fun, the time went by too fast. :)
