I was at that game. When the giants were backed up in their 1 yard line I was joking around with the jet fans around me calling for a 99 yard play, than Victor Cruz became my savior that day.. What a day
I was at this too! Season ticket holder for the giants . Bought tickets for this when the season started , then cowboys following week then falcons playoff game . Those 3 weeks in row was great but bad for my body. I was in my late 20’s and tailgated hard those games!

2011 got to be one of the greatest nfl seasons ever! so much happened that year
Love how the Jets send Plaxico up alone as if that'll be some type of psychological advantage, and seeing Justin Tuck just brush him off is great
Rex Ryan was famous for doing that. His first ever home game as the jets head coach, against the pats he sent out all ex patriots players for the coin toss, for instance
Man Bradshaws running style is truly one of a kind. Same with jacobs 2 unique runners made for in my opinion one of the best rb duos ever. In today’s nfl a lot of backs catch the ball and whatever and as good as they may be Bradshaw and jacobs we’re both run 1st backs and could still catch the ball if needed.
I remember screaming in excitement with my dad watching that Victor Cruz touchdown.
Ahmad Bradshaw absolutely trucking Brodney Pool is still one of my favorite moments from that season.
I remember when Coughlin got hurt during this game no matter how old he is he’s always tough as nails

Man I remember going up to my parents house for Xmas and watching this game with my father who's a Jets fan & I being a Giants fan. Man was it fun for me! Lol classic game. From the Cruz juke for 99 yards and Bradshaw laying the wood to pretty much seal it was priceless. I cant believe i am saying this...the good old days! Felt like it was yesterday. Go Gmen!

Watching this after both Jets and Giants were embarrassed in week one of 2019. Man I wish the Giants were a slim fraction of what this game was right now.

- Little did anyone know at the time that this game would kickstart the Giants' run to their 2nd Super Bowl in 4 seasons; the Jets were favored coming in, a lot of confidence and swagger on their side while the Giants were a wounded team coming in, but the Giants turned this game around after a sluggish start & wound up dominating the 2nd half en route to winning this game...thus opening the door for the G-Men to make another improbable run to victory in Super Bowl XLVI. :-D Meanwhile, the Jets....well they've never really been the same since this game....& this was 7 years ago....Lol
The Giants D line is a monster when they have the lead.
This game saved the Giants season.

We thought joking with my mom and telling her we eloped because we were expecting a baby would be funny on Xmas 2011 to mess with her! Then the day after Xmas we learned we really were expecting! Joke was on us. Because 8-24-12 my daughter layla was born! We joked her right into existence. Lol

Victor cruz is so under looked. He’s in my top 5 of players to watch in the 10s.
2011 was his only true season. From 2012 to 2015, he had nothing but long term injuries. 2016 he was "somewhat" relevant, but by 2017 he was out of the NFL.
Shame. He was a 6'1" 215 lb Slot WR who played like a TE. Guy was a beast.
Fun fact: as of the 2023 season, this is the last time the Giants beat the Jets. A major reversal of fortunes over the past decade, as this game was the last in a streak of 5 straight Giants wins over the Jets

To be fair, Eli didn’t get much success compared to Sanchez in 2009 and 2010
The Jets in this game defeated themselves. Their emphasis on psychological warfare leading up to the game (covering up all the pictures of the Giants' historical success, sending out Plexico Burress for the coin toss) reveals what they knew deep down was their own weakness. And they let themselves be psyched out. At the end, after they made it a one-score game, it looked like they were going to drive up the field and take the lead with no time left, but rather than the run game, which had been successful all game (know how many current Hall of Famers were on the field that day? One, the Jets' running back, LaDanian Tomlinson), they panicked and turned to the passing game, putting it in the hands of Mark "Sanchise", and went nowhere, eventually handing the Giants another two points and an easy shot at an insurance TD.
Mark Sanchez was the weakest link on those Jets teams, they reached 2 consecutive AFC championship games in spite of him not because of him
How about the season finale between these same two teams... in 1988?
