You mean Black Sabbath defined a whole genre and hundreds of bands. Iron Maiden followed suit, on a similar path, and brought something different. Don't push the godfathers aside. I love Maiden, probably even more than Sabbath, but without Sabbath then there wouldn't be Maiden.

Maiden has some great, even catchy songs; that thing when they build up the song and enter that melodic section, then the guitar solos, then the drop to the epic outro, 8+ minute songs, that's their trademark. Easily in the top 10 metal songs of all time, and this was in 1982!

Iron Maiden just released a new killer song, about a week ago called writing on the wall, has already well over 5 million views, they have a new album coming out September 3rd 2021. These guys are in their 60's, still putting out new music, and still touring to sold out packed houses, up the irons.
I am a more mature adult now I saw Iron Maiden from 1975 and I saw Bruce Dickinson doing a Hallowed be thy name live it was awesome not to say anything bad about other lead singers but the way Bruce is able to suck the crowd into being a part of the show clapping singing just having a really great time

Heavy Metal is a tribute TO Iron Maiden ! They are master's of their crafts,, intelligent song writing,, meaningful lyrics,, and the best that I have seen at live performances.... I have seen them since the early 80's and they still sell out, on 5 continents,, perform with relentless energy, and crowd participation as well as appreciation. It's a long and storied career for these guys, and hope to see more of their content on your channel !

i watched a few reaction videos by african americans, about this song, and i noticed, nobody picked up Bruce Dickinsons voice of holding his note for a long time. why is this? all the white reaction videos immediately picked up on how he can do it.
