Well, I don't think BTS will disband after their military service, due to the fact they had already signed a contract to continue after the military for at least 7 years. I get so tired of people writing novels off of little to no information. The BTS members are adults, who know the industry, who make decisions about their own projects, who choose who they work with. Diana Ross was a close friend of MJ, his idol, icon and a person he admired greatly. Of course she would appreciate hearing and seeing a young foreign artist pay tribute to the King of pop, in such a sucessfull manner! I just love it! There is nothing wrong with reviving the vibe, dancing style and feeling of the one and only world star. Did'nt Bruno Mars do the same? Jungkook is not trying to be "a new MJ", as he is not an impersonator but a great singer also writing his own songs that we loved very much. As for S.Braun or any other person trying to separate Jk from his group, that will never happen. All 7 will decide how to continue after the service and for how long.

@BRIBAN03 After seeing all their solo work, I think all of them would be fine on their own, having their own audience and fandom. All 7 are complete, versatile fine artists, but the styles and genres they chose and their goals are different. Jungkook, with his golden voice and a dream of becoming a world star, took it a step ahead in the western market, working with western producers and songwriters, singing in English, and thus reached more international listeners. But beside his dream there is another thing we often neglect, his true loyalty and love for his group members. He would never put himself first and make a decision harmfull to the whole group.

I think no one has the right to say BTS will disband after Military Service. Only BTS has this right. I think we all need to give them the space and time they need to finish their time in Service. RM has distanced himself from BTS, especially as of hiatus 2022, even the members expressed RM's separation, and RM has said himself that he always thought what life would be like if he didn't go this route. We all know Joon has always expressed his admiration of the quiet, simplistic life, just enjoying nature in peace.
At the end of the day, this is all work and business, and I am sure the boys will be able to balance their work life and personal life well. I’ve been thinking how the members won’t get back together. They’ve been together over ten years, a lot longer than most groups and want to persue going solo. I’d like to see them get together as BTS and do their solo careers as well. I’m from the U.S. and don’t fully understand how K Pop works, no relationships etc. BTS are all getting into their 30’s so it’s time for them to want families. And it was amazing to see how powerful Army is. What could they cause to happen if BTS did disband. I feel bad for the members who wanted to stay together forever. It’s a mess. Jung Kook can be a great star, but he won’t have the others to back him up, doing other peoples music, there’s pros and cons on both decisions.

Guess nobody watched Festa 2022 BTS members basically was crying and saying they wanted to be BTS for a long time and when they can't be together any longer they still wanted to continue being in each other's lives. RM said that he just wanted to rest emotionally and physically for awhile & Jungkook was agreeing with him. How huge is it that Diana Ross is a JK fan?! Most people are wary of SB, with good reason. However, I think the members know the direction they want to go and will make their own decisions about their plans.
The reality is that they are at the age where they want to settle down. Whether to get married, have children, and retire. They are not going to be doing this for the rest of their lives. I believe they may continue working on solo albums for a bit, but that also can come to an end. It's part of life. People need to get a grip on reality. Leave BTS alone to live their lives as they see fit. They are tired. Who wants to come out of the military to rush to perform. I believe that's why they waited to go to the military at a later time. They are close to the ages that they said they wanted to settle down. I believe the ending of 2025 or early 2026 will be the ending of BTS. They deserve to rest and live life. No one has the right to say otherwise
You do realise they signed a 5 Year contract before they entered the military, having a family won’t stop them from performing and I know they would also like to pursue solo careers I think they will still be going beyond 2025 /26

RM has been doing all the work (as stated by the members themselves, they have said time and time again, that BTS wouldn't be BTS without Namjoon's hard work, intelligence, and skill), and JK solo carries the entire group just with his vocal abilities, talent, and he is the most popular out of the group!
RM already has stated multiple times that the pressure of being in BTS becomes too much for him and he feels like "running away" esp since he's the main lyricist, composer, concept creator, and leader, so it gets tough representing the group. I mean this in itself was stated in RPWP. RM has always liked the quiet life in nature, he's almost 30, his priority in life is no longer making money or being a somebody, he just wants to chill with his people and be happy.
Jungkook has also expressed wanting to live his own life in freedom, with that being said this doesn't mean the rest of the members contribute nothing, and this doesn't mean they are disbanding anytime soon. But it's clear who the backbone truly is!

I live in Europe, have been influenced by western music half of my adult life, till I met BTS a few years ago. I learned about Kpop, but stuck only to this one group, they stole all my free time, many hours of sleep and my heart. And after watching the Grammy's, so many other shows, I must agree with you. They have been mistreated , seen as intruders and not been given the recognition for their artistry, just because they come from a different part of the world.
