  • Hands down the most JUICY IPA i've every made. The perfect hybrid between the things I love most about WC style IPA's(Crisp, dry, drinkable) & the some of the qualities I love about Hazy IPA's(Intense aroma and fruity, delicious flavor) with a dash of dank/pine.

      Nice! I should for 150 Sulfates & 75 chlorides on my WC IPAS.
      I always use RO water so I build up the minerals with Gypsum, Calcium Chloride & epsom salt

    Thanks for the video! I found this because im planning a similar beer. Have a question. I was planning to do an equal amount of strata and eldorado in the dry hop. Is there a reason why you are doing twice as much strata? Also I was thinking of trying 85% pale ale malt and 15% munich I. Thoughts?

    • @HopKillerBrewery
      @HopKillerBrewery  Před rokem +1

      I used more strata to have that hop come out more in the aroma and flavor, love them both though.
      I would dial the Munich back to 5%, for my personal taste buds. That would still add some malt character to the beer and allow the hops to shine. But, I’m a big fan in my West coast IPA’s to let the hops be the stars so I keep my malt simple and if I do add anything other than base malt, I keep it below 10% max.

    I made a mistake and mashed it at 155. Primary finished at 1.018. How much hop creep did you get? Enough to drop it to at least 1.012?

    • @HopKillerBrewery
      @HopKillerBrewery  Před 2 lety +1

      I think if it finishes a little higher, it shouldn’t affect it too much. Whatever it ends up at, if it’s not to your liking, next time shoot for it to be drier.
      Let me know how it comes out.
      Regarding the hop creep, if you dry hop warm and on the yeast, it should bring it down some
