I’m confused. Did Melnick know his client was arrested on Friday? Why isn’t anyone focused on the fact that Woodys immunity was basically forced or coerced? They let him sign that immunity without his attorney present knowing that he couldn’t plead the fifth if he signed the immunity. Kayla said she didn’t know Woody had immunity prior to coming to court that day.
Yeah I thought that was extremely suss too!! If his attorney was there, he could have advocated for a stronger immunity agreement!
But I could be misunderstood about all that. It was confusing.

In my opinion I think judge knows Bumpass is telling a lie about her knowledge. Also she knows judge Glanville, Love and Hilton are corrupted. I truly believe that she is an honest judge and will do what’s right at the end.

I would like to think this too. However, I have noticed that when they talk about the ex-parte meeting or judge Glanville, she is always pro judge Glanville. She also knows Fani wants this case to move forward. It will be bad if it doesn't because it has cost the state millions. If she calls a mistrial, then they have to start from scratch. Which means more money from Georgia taxpayers. Plus, this is the biggest trial in Georgia's history so the DA's office wants it bad. I agree this trial is a mess, and it has definitely added to a bigger picture of what's going on in Fulton County's DA's office.
The truth sounds like a lie sometimes when it’s some unbelievable mess. The questions the prosecutors ask are all irrelevant the the case.
Yeah, for Bumpus to be a lawyer, she performed badly as a witness. How hard is it to remember something that happened last month. As a witness for the defense, she didn't fair too well because she didn't recall or remember. But when she was on all those blogs, she was confident that there were wrong doings. I couldn't even watch her anymore as a witness because she's all over the place. She didn't help nobody, not even herself.

I also think they asked Kayla questions as if it was a linear chain of events where in reality there were multiple things happening at once and people going in and out of Chambers so to say for certain what was said and who was in the room when things are being said would be difficult for her to recall

Plus...she walked into a hellstorm without her jacket. She didn't have any idea the gravity of what was occurring while it was happening so things we might pay attention to when we know it is super important wasn't happening for her that day. Honestly without knowing he had been granted immunity....and other details....it seems she really didn't think she was there to do anything besides standby and nod lol. Not her fault....but I'm sure she won't approach standing in for counsel the same from this point forward.

I just wanted to give a shoutout to the judge for her incredible patience; especially on attorney Bumpus’ confusing testimony ❤ and also the left reporter’s gorgeous hair
Maybe there wouldn’t be so much confusion if we would’ve had this discussion when it happened, not weeks or a month + later with a new judge who only knows things through transcripts and works with Glanville.
What do you honestly expect when you’re asking for a linear explanation of how this secret meeting happened minute for minute, who’s there every second, what was said, what was transcribed, etc when it’s been said multiple times that it was all over the place, side conversations were happening, people were in and out. Etc, it’s several weeks after it happened. Many things have happened in between. And for the love of everything, look at the way this ENTIRE trial has gone…….you think a secret meeting is going to be able to be minute by minute played out for everyone.

As a lawyer, Bumpus was terrible as a witness. How do you not remember what happened over a month ago. When it came down to certain events or times, she should have been practicing remember those times. Now, you get up there saying this and that and you don't recall. It makes her not credible, just tell the truth of what you knew instead of guessing. I had to stop watching Bumpus.

In what world does an investigator get to sit on a stand and challenge the position of a bar member, not to mention a prior member of the DA’s office! It is pretty suspicious that the Da’s investigator would align his remarks to best serve the interest of the DA’s office. This is why people always scream F.T.P. and the system as a whole!

Ms Bumpass did great under the circumstances! It’s become personal no matter how hard she try’s (while testifying) it’s bound to be very hard! Her would could be turned upside down for speaking out against Love and Hilton
Bumpass did terribly. She sounded like a layman talking about murder saying unalived instead of the legal term. Very unprofessional. She may have cut it as a witness but failed in terms of pushing her career.

I lost some respect and confidence today in judge whittaker. Well, the honeymoon is over. The unbiased judge role lasted all of 2weeks. Today, we are back to circus 🎪 court mode. Almost, not quite, but almost judge whittiker was a mini me of glanville for part of the day. How disappointing.

She would've had that person here today to testify. Because Mr. Melnick adamantly denied those claims when asked. So far he seems to be pretty straight up. Ms. Bumpus did to much talking.
