Turned out nice, very simple design, nice pattern and what a beautiful piece of wood.
Think a very dark brown leather sheath would be a good match to complement it.

Elijah's knives are strong, sharp, and feel very light in your hand. You can see for yourself how good they look. You will have to buy a different one, because this one is mine.

I swear 01 tool steel is the WORST when it comes to cracking! I forged a couple knives with it and MOST failed. I loved it because it get really really hard but if you forged it too hot or too cold or quenched it at the wrong temperature or a little too fast it would crack every time. I think out of like 8 attempts I got one good knife out of it and even it had some shallow surface cracks.

If you happen to be using flux core in a mig welder or stick welder the flux has a higher melting point than most forge welding temps and can make forge welding a pain in the ass, could be why youre having issues where youre tacking. I kept having that issue for a very long time until a more experienced smith told me what could be causing my issue, if you arent using flux core of any kind then ignore my comment and keep on making good stuff 👍
