Driving me crazy that I can't find an accurate tab to the intro of this song. Gareth is literally the only person who plays it correct!

Thanks so much for this tutorial! It is spot on and really helpful. And for anyone trying to learn the intro, I did it by watching him play it and using some tabs. The intro is not as difficult as it sounds

as for part 2 unfortunatley you may have to wait for now. the good news is that my tutorial for 'a lions heart' will be posted tomorrow with a little luck (camera died on me but i hope to have enough for part 1) so i hope that will suffice for the time being.

@ThePEN1500 i think i know the bit you mean. the shape you mean is 3x3200 (as shown at 05:38 in the video)? if it is that bit then let me try and explain the quick picking for you
you play 6th (with your thumb) then - 3rd (with index fiinger) then 2nd (with middle finger) REALLY QUICKLY one after another. Next you play 4th with thumb then 1st with ring finger. Those five notes come really quickly together. practice slowly until your fingers work fluidly.

your tutorials are fantastic and really helpful! i literally just found out about them today through your Ben Howard Keep Your Head Up video. But basically ive known how to play this song for ages EXCEPT for the really quick picking bit he does for the intro (in the KEXP Live youtube video), you also do it in your intro here so please could you do another vid explaining how to because i just cannot work it out! thanks and ive liked and subscribed :)

Can you explain the intro in another video and also the last chord shape in the verse sounds a bit dodgy to me, I think he picks it differently, other than that great job man, I'll definetly be checking out more of your videos.
