- We are taking a break from everything! Abbie get dropped off at Camp I Am Special so she gets a break from us, from ABA therapy, from everything. Priscilla, Isaiah, and I get a break from being caregivers and from everyday life as we head out for vacation. This is the last vlog for season 2. I'm taking a couple days off. I’m actually a buddy at camp I am special and I saw Abby and she looked so happy
Cried my eyes out watching Abbie watching the crowd cheer her name! Then when she asked for the bathroom to her friend right away idk I’m a moosh right now!!!
So did I LOL. Such a hot mess.
The way she was nodding her head to the tune of her name and looking at the camera like do u hear this?!?! How exciting is this?!?! Lol 💗

My daughter doesn't have autism but does show signs of the spectrum, but after being tested they said she isn't on the spectrum. She does have severe anxiety disorder and PTSD along with learning disabilities. We went a few months of her not sleeping. We invested in a weighted blanket and it changed our lives. She sleeps almost all night now. It really was a life saver for her. She is 16 and still learning coping skills for her anxiety, every day is a challenge.

I have watched many youtube channels and after a few months , i stop watching cuz I totally get bored with them.The 1st time I began to watch your videos was when Abbie went off to camp. Wow, its been a year and I'm still being educated and entertained.Keep up the get work

I’m 16 and have been watching your channel for a little less than a year. I don’t plan in pursuing a career directly related to autism but I would like to go into the medical field channels such as yours, sbsk, the landing crew, autism warrior mamma and many documentaries have provided really great information for everyday life and you never know what I will come across while in the medical field so a lot of your information will probably help in cases. ok sO something very unexpected just happened to me. As you guys were pulling in and they started chanting her name I just started SOBBING. Not even joking literally ugly cry SOB. I don’t know I just felt the love and know that it was such a special moment for her. And you as her family! Wow that caught me off guard. I’m wiping away the tears and pressing play but just wanted to share my little moment. Such an amazing family! ❤️

Abbie just couldn't wait, she wanted to get right into that sandpit! 😂When you guys kept saying bye, Abbie was like, "Ok guys, just go already! I want to have fun! So glad to see people doing great things like this! I LOVE swings too!! They are really calming. I once fell asleep in one because I enjoyed it so much!
I cried when I heard those amazing people cheering for Abbie! So special!!!
I hope Abbie is having a great time at camp! I love that there are camps out there like Camp I am Special, so special needs children like Abbie can enjoy going off to summer camp the rest of us neurotypical people can and did as kids. I loved camp as a kid, not only was it a break from my family, it was a break from City Life. Have a great time on your vacation!
Oh my!! Talk about hitting in the feels-I cried when Abbie arrived and they were cheering her on!! They know how to make the camper and family feel special! I wish that I had had a disability friendly camp that I could have gone to as a kid that accommodated my needs (I’ve been disabled/chronically ill since 8)-LOOKS amazing and AWESOME!
We have a 14 yr old boy with Autism. Love what you guys are doing for Abbie. I cried when they cheered her name. SO SPECIAL!
I love watching your vlogs and its SO educating. I commented on a vlog several months ago, that i applied for a job, working with severe autism kids in Denmark. I got the job and i love it. I wrote in my applience that i got a lot of inspiration from you, and thats one of the reasons i got the job, so thanks.

Yay for teenagers (like myself!) I love watching you guys and I worked at a special needs camp for a while similar to camp I Am Special! It makes me upset to see younger teens/adults like me act ignorant towards disabilities such as autism and I'm glad to see so many staff members at the camp educating themselves. Plus its not hard since your channel is amazing, keep doing awesome work and hope Abbie has a lovely week!
Looking at this camp makes me wish I had a camp like this in my area so I could help out and be a camp counselor. I love helping young boys and girls who have autism because they are just they same as any teenager or pre teen but they need a little more guidance. If anything sometimes these boys and girls can show more love and compassion. I love watching your vlogs! (Btw I'm 16 and super jealous we don't have a camp like this where I live)

Isaiah, if you do it, I highly suggest it. Camps like that is so much fun! Also, we were able to wear Chacos sandles that have a strap closed band in case there was a kiddo who loved running and we would run with them to keep up then redirect to say arts and crafts or nature. I worked at one here in Texas called CAMP Camp for a summer and it was one of the best summers ever.

It is really hard for me to get into family vlogs, i literally only watch 2, the Binghams and Gardner quad squad. The binghams sent us to you guys and i fell in love instantly. You guys are an inspiration. I’ve binge watched so many of your videos and i feel like I’ve learned so much! I have 2 friends that have autistic sons one I’ve been around since he was 2 and was there when she got his diagnoses at 5. She is a single mom doing it all on her own, although she just got back with his dad but for the last 7 years it’s been just her and i don’t know how she does it. What you guys do is not easy I’m sure, but you make it look easy. I love you guys so much already! Abby is an amazing young lady and have the best big brother in the entire world and the greatest parents too. Thanks for all you do! Have a wonderful vacation and we will see you again soon!! ❤️❤️
