    I keep tyre pressure of 38 ~ 40 psi on all 4 tyres of my XL6.
    I too get around 15~16 kmpl in city and 20 ~ 21 ~ 23 kmpl on highways...I just love my machine

      Recommended tyre pressure is 33 psi for front tyres and 32 psi for rear tyres. 38 is way too high for 15" rims.

    • @Northeastvloggers2020
      @Northeastvloggers2020  Před 4 měsíci

      @ashk3275 nothing happens, you are thinking of it too much...its not way too high...just 5 to 7 psi more. I am driving at 40psi since last 15 years....nothing happens. ...always get good mileage because of it.

    • @ashk3275
      @ashk3275 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@Northeastvloggers2020 It is dangerous to exceed recommended tyre pressure. When you drive for long, the air inside the tyres heats up, expands and there is a possibility of blow out. Also, the ride will be bumpy and unstable. Breaking will be an issue at higher speed as the car will not be firmly planted. Tyre pressure has to be regulated based on the terrain and actual load as of any given point. Safety first, everything else next.

    • @Northeastvloggers2020
      @Northeastvloggers2020  Před 4 měsíci

      By paper and theoretically you right...but nothing such happens on the increase of 5 to 7 points above the recommended psi. I have drove for more than 325km on a single run, went on driving to mountain ranges , even as high as 8500 feet....nothing such happend .

  • @kunalsen2123
    @kunalsen2123 Před 7 měsíci +9

    One thing needs to be pointed out about tyre pressure. There's a trade-off between mileage and stability. If pressure's too high, the friction with road will be less but car will be more floaty and prone to body roll and instability, especially on highways.

    • @Northeastvloggers2020
      @Northeastvloggers2020  Před 7 měsíci

      Thanks for watching this new video. Actually what you are saying is totally correct but I have not experienced any such things while driving with a tyre pressure of 40 or even 50 also. Being this a very big car and the weight of the car is too much no doubt the tyre swells up to the full extent but it does not gives any difference in driving or controlling of the car.

    • @Northeastvloggers2020
      @Northeastvloggers2020  Před 7 měsíci

      And so I have not felt any thing like the vehicle is prone to body roll or any instability on highways. This is not only the in this particular case that I have used maximum tyre pressure in the car tyres actually I have tried it in many of my cars since last 20 years and that is what I have found it that actually the car remains in the particular stability condition up to certain extent of the tyre pressure but if you go up to 60 or maybe 65 then it may happen what you are saying actually so 50 is enough because the company has given it at the time of delivery I have check it twice it was 52 in all my spare also measures 52@ particular day

    • @kunalsen2123
      @kunalsen2123 Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@Northeastvloggers2020 , thanks for the clarification. Will surely keep the pointers in mind. As even in my 30s, I'm a newish driver and much less experienced than you. I'm not confident enough to test the limits, so will keep pressure in high 30s, touching 40 and check for handling first, then surely increase further if method proven beneficial in Delhi conditions where I stay.

My automatic has given actual 21 mileage on my road trip to Palampur in Himachal with ac on over the hills all the time. I switched on this car from Scorpio due to GRAP restrictions here and I am very very happy with sooooo many features I got in this top end model.

    I am maintaining company recommended tyre pressure. Have been getting city avrg of 16 to 17 and regularly getting 19/20 + on highway trips. Its all about how you drive. But from what i have learnt, the company recommended pressure are fixed after taking into consideration many aspects not just getting Max mileage. So better stick to the recommended pressure. The engineering team are not idiots. They have done enough research before they fix those values.

    • @Northeastvloggers2020
      @Northeastvloggers2020  Před 5 měsíci

      Great...make it 40 once, just increase it by 8psi and see the difference. I am running my car at 40psi and everything is fine. I have not checked it in a boardroom...I did practicals on it for years...so, I am not an idiot too.
      Getting 17 to 18 in town and 21on highways.

      @@Northeastvloggers2020 i am not saying you are an idiot. But i feel the guys who are behind manufacturing such machines would have already thought about everything. And coming to your point on trying 40 psi. Actually i had tried 40 psi, not by choice but by mistake the pump fellow had done it. Running on 40 psi was not very comfortable. I don't know about the mileage part, but the ride was very bumpy and the breaking too was not reassuring.

    Sir very good video on mileage. But it is not recommended to increasing the tyre pressure above the limit, may be 2,3 points ok. More than that can cause poor breaking, reason being as you said less friction.

    • @Northeastvloggers2020
      @Northeastvloggers2020  Před 7 měsíci

      Thank you so much for watching my videos actually I will see it in an another sense that what you have said is correct actually so to say on papers nowadays because the breaking system has improved a lot from the drum breaks to disc break system and the main important thing is that I have never felt any such thing of loss of grip on the road while using breaks or driving the car at a particular speed even in rainy conditions. So in my opinion it should not be like that as you thinking of anyway thanks for watching

    I like your videos very much. Inspired by your vlogs, we booked the Rumion Smart Hybrid. Ours will be an automatic, so not expecting as much mileage as the manual but the smart hybrid activation tips will come in handy nonetheless. The revving at start-then pull out of parking--put on neutral with clutch engaged for some time (our automatic equivalent of that will perhaps be D mode with brake engaged)--method is easy and seems promising. Thanks for the tip and keep the lessons coming!

      Thank you so much for watching my videos so minutely. Hope all of you will agree with all those points that I have discussed in this particular video in relation to the higher mileage effectivity and the increasing of tyre pressure is actually that particular factor which is directly proportional to to the mileage of the car means if you increase the tyre pressure mileage will increase if we will decrease the tyre pressure mileage will decrease that is what I have understood actually any specially it happens also and it affects the mileage mostly in the town area when you drive it's slowly

      @@Northeastvloggers2020, please make a video on why and how you chose Nexa Blue XL6 Alpha Manual. What were your requirements, which other cars you considered and why you opted for Alpha manual variant and why you did not go for Kia Carens as you previously owned a Hyundai if I'm not mistaken? And kindly share thoughts behind colour selection, ease or difficulty in maintaining it etc. It would be very interesting to know all this, especially as I too have undergone similar decision making recently before finalising Rumion V variant (dark grey), which shares same platform and engine as XL6. • @Northeastvloggers2020
      @Northeastvloggers2020  Před 7 měsíci

      Thank you so much for watching our videos sir actually what you have said is true actually on paper, nowadays, because of advanced features and many other related factors, I used to drive my vehicle in Mountain roads and even in many watery slopes....but the car tyre never slips on those conditions. Breaking is also good enough with disc brakes all around... and the more important thing is that friction is less because of the higher tire pressure but it is not that enough that the car loses its grip, that's the main point. Thaks again.

      First, check the tyre pressure...make it 38 to 40psi in all tyres as I did. Then always try to drive for long distances....more than 5km...less then that use two wheelers. Because, in xl6, you will get less mileage in short rides. Check the status of oxygen sensor in the car, if uneven change it. And the main thing is the way you drive. Don't beforce this car to accelerate soon....mileage will drop drastically. Drive smoothly....with least possible pickup....allow the car to cope up with speed on its own. You will get mileage like us.
