A new monbebe here, i need to say that i never see a leader that is so calm as shownu..this yr marked a decade i am a kpop fan but seriously there is no leader like shownu..his members dont take granted over his calmnes by behaving out of control, being an ignorant, getting angry out of sudden there is no such things in monsta x..even the maknae I.M behaves very well & he knows what kind of jokes that appropriate to do w the hyungs & he never crosses the line... TBH I thought Wonho was more like the leader of Monsta X than Shownu...at first. Then I realised it's because Shownu is an earth-type leader. You don't really notice the earth you stand on, but if it disappeared, you would be in a lot of trouble. Because the earth exists, it provides a stable place for you to run and do your favourite things. Shownu is like that. His leadership is not flashy and he's very humble, so sometimes you don't even notice it. But it provides a safe foundation for the rest of the team to flourish. I think one of the reasons that Monsta X seems to be one of the kindest, most well-behaved kpop groups (and Monbebe also seems to be a very warm and calm fandom) is probably because of Shownu's quiet influence.

One thing I love about Shownu is that he doesn't use the status of being "the leader" unless it's to introduce the group for the first time, no offense to other leaders who do this with their members. Shownu doesn't create a separation between him and the other members. That might be one of the reasons why they don't even see I.M as the maknae, especially because since the beginning I.M refused to behave like a maknae just because he is one. In Monsta X everyone has the same status and that's how a family-like dynamic works and creates a powerful group.
He really is an amazing person. I'm gonna cry.

I've never seen a group be so appreciative of their fans, at least openly. MONSTA X talks about us Monbebes constantly about how much they love and care for us. You can see this in interviews or through their speeches, they get so emotional when mentioning us (and of course their parents or each other). They're all incredibly humble and it's one of the many reasons as to why I love them too.

I'm a new Monbebe but been a kpop fan for seven years now. But I have never saw such calm leader. Yep, there are lots of great leaders out there that are aslo calm, but Shownu's calmness is on another level. Plus the fact that his members are really well behaved and really shows respect to him as a leader and eldest members really helps a lot. The members made sure not to stress him out, and on the other hand, Shownu really look after them like a dad ❤ This is just so pure. I want to protect them all ❤
