She Makes Me Laugh - The Monkees. Performed live at Charlotte, NC show 5/24/16 No copyright infringement intended. I just really love this song & wanted to remember this performance.
It is still nimble, but seriously lacks the warmth it once had. Micky sounds more operatic and nasal now. The warmth once heard in "Sometime in the Morning", "I'm a Believer", and "As We Go Along" is gone.
agreed but I believe their uniqueness comes from all 4 being able to sing and sound differently. An uncommon practice for most bands. You can never get bored listening to them because of that!
This song is equal to anything in the existing Monkee oeuvre ("Egg McMuffin", in French). The Monkees and their younger co-horts in this album deserve the highest praise. It is timeless, even as we lose the voice of Peter Tork. You made your mark well, every one of you.
Thank you for posting this. This was the closest place that they were going to be, but because if sicknes at the time it wasn't possible for my husband and I to go . thank you again
For all you young music listeners out there - this song is great because it has something called MELODY. Look up the word in a dictionary - and best of luck finding it in any other modern pop music.
Weezer is more modern rock than pop, and their songs have melody, too. Rivers was influenced by older bands (like the Monkees) so perhaps this song didn't really come out of "modern pop," anyway it's a great song whether modern or not.
They played in Atlanta a couple of weekends ago, and I only found out that morning, and even then only by a sheer stroke of luck by clicking on something on Facebook.
For a guy who is 71 years old...his voice is surprisingly nimble. A great pop rock track perfectly performed!

@@PinkLaffs Which is normal. Still sounds great and young yet.
@@PinkLaffs um.... it was 50 years ago?
@@PinkLaffs True or not (and for me not), I appreciate him (as I have them) now more than ever.
Thanks Rivers, for writing this wonderful song for Mickey and Peter!!!
For Mike too because Mike is on the original recording but he didn't happen to be at this live performance.
Man that Micky ( 71 years old ) still got it. Voice is as good as ever. Him and the late Davey epitomize the sounds of The Monkees in my opinion.
ponchai allen I agree Micky is the voice of the Monkees and yes Davy second

I'm 15 and I agree: Modern pop is nothing but garbage. The Monkees are part of the last remaining musical talent existing today.
I'm 13 and I couldn't agree any better!

I mean, it was written by a modern artist.
You're talking to an 18 year old who's in a Beatles Tribute 🤣
Great footage thank you 😁
I hate concert wasnt advertised better, I certainly would have been there. I look forward to buying the album ! Where is Mike ?

Dang, wish they could play here in Manila!
Dolenz sounds like Hes still 20
Sure does!!! He doesn't really hit the high notes like he used to but that's normal.
What type of camera did you use?
It's a Canon Pro Shot. It's a few years old now. I was in the 2nd row.
Wow! Nearly broadcast quality.
Where is Davy Jones? (sorry for errors I'm Russian)
He passed away in 2012
