Unreal work mate. If your Patrol is factory auto there's a fair bit more involved with the crossmember and tailshaft lengths, transfer case lever etc as I've found out. Bet you were wrecked after this effort!

2:43 I bet that extension was for the top bolt , that's impressive my longest extension monstrosity was two 12in and a universal 3/8 socket for a Buick T type 400 r4 transmission top bolt ...

only thing i would change is to go from the ve to vf shifter because the vf one looks way nicer but probably a completely different setup.

Just done 4L80E conversation on my GQ daul cab 6.5 chevy diesel with bullet supercharger love it awesome to drive gearbox 4 speed with overdrive I went BM shifter as easy install hope you enjoy as I love mine love the channel keep up the good work

quick question (from my days as a young man stealing my parents jeep wrangler to go mudding): I always thought that manual transmissions are absolutely terrible for mud and water. I understood it is because mud can get stuck up in the clutch plate and ruin it. PS - yeah I had to totally rebuild my parents clutch.

I think i feel sick lol. I dont think a 6 speed auto would be more fuel economic then a 5 speed manual. Youd loose more energy in torque converter

@@jarrodk2832 yes when your at cruiseing speed. Not gunna help you when you are accelerating. And if your doing 100kmh if your in overdrive in a manual or auto its pretty much the same the difference is reaching cruising speed
