I've managed to go through life without seeing a single royal variety show and by the looks of things I haven't missed much. I'm not a monarchist but I actually felt sorry for princess Margaret having to sit through this crap on an annual basis. No wonder she was pissed most of the time.
I guess these things raise money for charity, so good on them, but does anybody really enjoy these things? It just seems like torture for everybody involved, spectators and performers.
The homage to Hollywood has the UK showbusiness industry looking like those areas around Disney land where everything is Disney themed without the copyright material.
