    The problem with exploring space is that other stuff is so far away.
    When even the speed of light is too slow for any meaningful exploration, it's a real kick below the belt.
    We would need a series of amazingly revolutionary new technologies before we can realistically plan to go to other stars.

      TIBOR Purzsas it uses a Lazer to send information and we have HD cams the size of thumb tacs lol that's not the problem at all. It getting g to the location.
      They are thinking about a shoe box size. And 200 of them traveling at 25-30% the speed of light. Instead of 10 min of lazers it would be 25. And use alot of power 50 sent per year for 4 years. Eventually have relay stations make the signal travel a little faster maybe.

      considering travelling to moon or into the space is considered a big deal at "human endurance speeds" , i dont think so it would be possible in the current century. 20% the speed of light is 6 x 10^7 or 60 million m/s. At that speed "MANY THINGS COULD GO WRONG" . U might not believe but we are a very weak species. Of course we became strong cause of our intelligence but we have to put everything in our equation to find a new home

    Question 3 : why photograph Proxima B seeing that it's a dead planet because Proxima Centuri is a red Dwarf with extreme solar flares. Proxima B is also most likely tidely locked which means it's magnetisphere is none existent

      JMW Life most of nasa's budget goes into near earth orbit so its bs that nasa is mostly focused on far away objects. Truth of the matter is that nasa is underfunded as hell. Its not the giant that it was during the space race. If it was, we'd have bases on the moon at least.

      Aditionally, id say Nasa should get at least 35 to 50 billion per year since we need space. Earth is, lets say the truth, too late to save. We need to either find a way to get humanity to another planet by 2150 ~ or NASA does a Miracle yet again and saves earth.
      Finally, far away discoveries are the most important.
