Gardening feels like a revolution and a rebellion! As if one found a loophole to printing money. Anyone else feeling so devious knowing they can grow their own food?
What I kind of beds are those that you're using for the lettuce? The plastic ones especially. Do they collect the water or are there drainage holes in the bottom?
My balcony is very windy. Raspberry plants suffered this year, same with cucumbers. I am now planning to repot all the tall plant into smaller 30 gallons containers. Just waiting for autumn, my fig plant have plenty of figs but will it ripen in time? I blame the climate change it wasn’t like this 6 years ago. I only grow Japanese greens but should have staggered it. Some bolted in June. I must say I have abandoned my garden for now. Just pick occasional strawberries, raspberries starting to flower again, first fruits ravaged by the winds. Big storms continuously 😢
I have a question. How do you stop lettuce bolting? I can't grow it without bolting even though I pinch the heart with the first signs of it doing so, they become inedible.
With early spring varieties, then you can't do anything to avoid bolting in summer. The best thing to do is to actually grow the right lettuce variety for the right season.
This is love at first short. Immediately subscribed.

@@thefrenchiegardener thank you! That makes a lot of sense - I'll look into that 💜
What about if I let it grow tall by mistake? Lol
He can read a phone book. By the way what was he even saying.
Hahahaha
That's the wrong way for harvest for regrow want it regrow must harvest the whole lettuce at soil level it will regrow and produce new leaves
You can do both, I tried both and it works.
Tidak ada yang salah. Bahkan aku juga melakukannya. Selamat mencoba 😊
