I never understand why parents ignore their children’s terror in the night, waking them up scared… why don’t they see that their Childs face is full of fear, maybe it because they are so irritated at being woken up they don’t notice and just want to go back to sleep? Why not go investigate what it he is saying to them, especially when the child is telling them someone is Trying to Break in! A break in is Not something any parent should EVER take LIGHTLY! The best thing to happen, and terrifying was your Dads room was where this creature entered, Not yours! I bet he felt terrible for not believing you and hope he apologized afterwards.
Yeah it never ceases to piss me off how parents can be so quick to dismiss their children’s fears or take their experiences lightly like that. It undermines what should never be undermined; real terrifying things- omens of a very possible horrific future, in the form of a child’s experience, the most perceptive kind of experience. It’s ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry, you should always take their word as seriously as the situation is proposed to be until absolutely proved otherwise. Then you can properly punish them and teach them the gravity of faking something like that if they are doing so, or comfort them and help them get over a fear if they aren’t. If you ignore it and it actually IS serious, you can and WILL end up regretting it for the rest of your life. How could you choose to be ignorant with something that has such dire consequences? Your child could be taken, killed, traumatized, scarred for life in more ways- and or have more things done to them- than can even be thought of, when all you would have needed to do was have an open mind, or think something through, to prevent it. It’s bad parenting, plain and simple. It teaches a child that they can’t trust their parents, or even other guardians, to listen to them or do what needs to be done for them when they are in need, or to be able to confide in them with their experiences and in some way, their lives. All for fear of- and even because of- the fact that they won’t be believed or taken seriously. It’s just sad and stupid. Sorry for the rant lol just wanted to say that to someone who gets it

I thank God for my Mom and Dad who believes in the paranormal and knew it was actually demons! My mom would come into my room, talk to me and taught me how to pray against these nightmares terrors. It's funny to me that during my relationship with my ex, I also saw a man with a bowler hat and a mustache. In my case I felt that he protected me since the rest of the house where we lived had a dark aura, but in the room where he appeared to me, I felt safe and protected. When I left I thanked the man with the hat as I felt that he was a guardian angel.

Oh the story where they were listening to Led Zepplin backward to hear Satanic messages brought back a funny memory. I used to run with a group of boys a little younger than me. This one summer we were bored out of our skulls and one boy brought up that he heard if you listen to a record backward, you'll hear a message from Satan. We hurried to my house because my parents had old records and a record player. The problem is, my parents listen to old country music. Imagone a bunch of 10 to 13 year old kids, sitting around, trying to play Merl Haggard albums backward. Lol. We never heard anything satanic, btw.
