이용대가 수비 좋다는건 외국선수들도 다 아는 사실이라 공격할때 유연성쪽으로 많이 때리다보니 유연성은 더욱 수비연습을 많이 하게되어서 수비실력이 많이 올라간듯. 게다가 본인도 이용대에 비해 부족한걸 아니까 수비할때 자세를 엄청 낮추고 집중하는 모습이 확실히 보임

이용대도 유연성에비해 스매시가 약한거 외국선수들도 아는사실이라 항상 이용대쪽으로 올려주다보니 이용대 스매시 실력이 좋아진듯 게다가 본인도 유연성에비해 스매시가 부족한걸 아니까 체중을 엄청 실어서 있는힘껏 때리는게 확실히보임

as the score indicates, these are extremely closely matched teams. conrad and yoo are both very mobile and aggressive players, with both teams relying on their attacking strengths. conrad's display of athleticism was riveting. lyd and boe do not have particularly strong attacks, but both read the shuttle well and excel in defense. on the whole the danes seemed to have a slightly stronger attacking game and the koreans a slightly stronger defense. it also seems the korean side may have been a bit better coordinated than the danes. good to see all four of these impressive players on the court together. thank you for sharing

Actually, this is not the best example to show their defensive strengths, since Boe and Mads Conrad cannot even get the coordinate attacks properly because they are a new pairing formed from a long term players who have been playing with different partners.

Danes had no smashers, they were being worn down by the Korean’s defence. I think they might have put up a better fight if there was more variation in attacking angle and direction. But LYD/YYS would have probably won anyways.

I have also noticed the speeding up of the videos...is almost unnoticeable but check out the people walking in the background , they look weird walking because the video is faster than normal... Very lame!!

Maybe you mean their rotation, not footwork, bcs there's definitely nothing wrong with their footwork
that 'crab' footwork is how you move laterally for short distances in mens doubles in order to stay low and not disturb your center of gravity. if you arent using that footwork in men's doubles you might want to practice it until it feels normal and not funny to you
We adjust our defense stance best suited to our natural dispositions. Not everyone's stance is gonna look exactly the same, even on a super pro level.

because there are no quality smashers during their time
@@monkeyseemonkeydo1794 i keep saying this as well. yes, endo/watanabe and kevin/gideon have excellent defense... but they're playing in an era where they have no competition in that respect. Only Setiawan/Ahsan are left from the OG players with amazing defense. Most tournaments where Setiawan/Ahsan play, they end up in the finals purely based on defense and shots placement. They have no problem taking on these eager young players with huge smashes. They most of the time lose vs kevin/gideon because of their age, they can't keep up with the speed/pace that their juniors play at

yeah but they're playing in an era where only kevin/gideon and setiawan/ahsan have strong defense... all the other pairs are no competition in terms of defense. LYD played in an era where the top 8 all have amazing defense
