I have the reactive slingshot. It adds about 25-40lbs of assistance so it transfers over a lot better than the ones that add 100lbs or more and totally change the bench mechanics.
Quick update on the blahino case file: in his most recent video you can clearly see how he uses different videos for his squats (front vs side view) in an attempt to trick viewers. For the front view he is not breaking parallel imo but for to side view he just explodes where he uses less weight. For the front view his knees cave in and he breaks the vertical line using his back to grind the rep. This is the video:czcams.com/video/TH00epJ-KOw/video.html
+1 on pain being mostly apprehension. I can bench warm up weights with no issue, but the moment it’s time to actually put forth some effort, I psych myself out about tweaking my shoulder again. Might have to check these out.
I use it opposite to you. I bench until im completely spent and then put the slingshot on and then get as many more reps as i can....absolutely fries ur triceps 👍
A word of advice for anyone trying to cheap out on a slingshot, don't buy a knock off one from amazon like me, lmao. They're made for someone with 10 inch arms who's about 5'2, and I'm pretty sure whatever chemicals they used to treat them are going to give me cancer.
I loved using the slingshot (my gym had one). But with the gym closed I just do banded bench press now for a similar effect for accommodated resistance.
I actually subscribed to your channel today for two reasons. You have great advice and you are not a puppet for the "fitness industry." Thank you for helping all of us out and providing golden advice--you are helping many people. God Bless.
Not really sure why, but when I use a slingshot (I have the full boar), I get better pec activation and pump. Can’t really explain it, but it is what it is.
Sounds like when you use it you use your shoulders less in the press and use your pecs more, so if your goal is to grow your chest, I’d def keep using it.
@@deficitstifflegzercherdeadlift hows that possible when it causes more chest deactivation compared to raw benching? Well it basically takes stress off mainly the chest and shoulders
I’ve used this in the past to boost my bench. It really helps at the bottom and really helps to overload the shoulders abs triceps. Bigger bench usually means more chest mass or the ability to grow more
Thoughts on the bison and white rice diet? Sometimes throw in a fried egg with it and washed down with a glass of cranberry juice. Also does training shirtless and only wearing small black shorts work for increasing your workout performance?
I don't know if you've already spoken of this in another video but I would be interested in hearing your opinion on when it is beneficial to use straps, wrist/elbow/knee wraps, belt, etc.
You should talk a bit more about how you eat. I believe I’ve seen you say that you eat primarily plant based. There is a new CZcamsr called Plant Based Fitz who is an absolute beast eating fully plant based. He’s also a natural lifter. I’d be interested to hear more about how you eat personally. You are two of the CZcamsrs who’s content I find super informative and original.
Thanks so much for the video. I can finally start benching again thanks to the bench daddy! I'm curious to know what additional exercises you did to compensate for the lack of shoulder and chest activation during the few months you couldn't do regular bench anymore.
Hey bro not sure if I should post this elsewhere but I have been using evolving rep ranges for everything except the back off sets on the front squat, good morning, ohp and bench. For these I use an RIR judgement of 1-2 RIR. On my good morning sets today however this looked like a 5x11, with the last set being hard. I have done this because I am afraid to really push/fail on these specific exercises. Thoughts on shooting for RIR on these movements, even if they result in static back off sets, and evolving rep ranges for everything else?
What is your fix for an extremely uneven chest been doing unilateral movements but theyre still pretty disproportionate and vary in kind of "shape" is there any fix to this?
I Almost died using a slingshot, the barbell bounced off my chest and fell between my bench and titan spotter arms. Which is where my nech and face are located but the bar hit my neck, i thought i was going to die.
@@AquaTreasures It’s all good, ever since I’ve been quarantined when I was diagnosed COVID-19+, I’ve lost like 15 pounds in a week by consuming hot foods and warm-to-room temperature beverages while I was taking some medications and I have a mini-home-gym set up with my weights, rack, etc. I’m looking forward to weighing myself when I first wake up.😃
Natural hypertrophy have you seen bloho's new "cambered bar squat PR video" he barley even undergoes an inch of range of motion, not even doing a half rep only to then claim it was to depth 🤣🤣
In his latest video, using the straight bar he uses different videos front vs side view, to show he goes to depth but you clearly see he uses less weight for the side view.

Short calves, massage longitudinally. Long calves, massage latitudinally. Maximum gains.

Correct
Would those work with push ups?🤭
