- In this video I just wanted to talk about humbleness and humility, as well as my most recent injury that has been limiting my work and life in general.
Update on my tailbone: It is bruised, not fractured thank goodness! I should be back to normal in a few weeks or so (I hope).
"Humility is the solid foundation of all virtues."
- Confucius
That's right. Humility has nothing to do with low self-esteem or self-deprecation. Humility is just loving yourself as much as you love your equals-and hopefully you do love your equals, of course.
Pride is putting oneself above everybody, which is something we all have to avoid.
Look after yourself Rose. Your right a little compassion can go a long way. Keep spreading yours, it all makes a difference.
This saying comes to mind after listening to your words. Have a Blessed day.
“I have found that it is the small everyday deed of ordinary folks that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
Love you
OOH! Take care of that; back injuries are nothing to mess with. Definitely get a doctor's note so you are not putting more strain on it. Humility is definitely something that we can use more of; the general attitude of most people today seems to be that they are better than everyone else.
'I entreat you with all my heart, detest talking back, quarreling, disobedience, self-will, boldness and every other passionate state, for all these drive away God’s love and bring bitterness into the soul instead.
Be sincere in everything you show and express: do not tell lies; speak the truth. Do not look at the spiritual illnesses of your brethren struggling together with you, for you will be greatly harmed. But rather, sympathetically overlook their illnesses for the sake of the Lord, so that He may also deem your own illnesses worthy of sympathy.
Never think anything great about yourselves, so that you are not abandoned by the grace of God which is guarding you, and a great trial befalls you.'
Elder Efraim of Arizona
Humility and being humble is the best way to keep one's Self-righteous ego from being overblown. It's good to remind ourselves that we don't know or can identify every good or bad thing out there, but to trust our gut feelings as individuals to make the right decisions for ourselves and for the ones we care about. Your self awareness is to be admired and heal up :)
Thank you so much! 😊
This was nice . )
God bless you , heal soon
I have been going through some difficult times and you blog has given me a lot of encouragement. So, I'm glad I found it and...Thanks! The ones I like best are when you just turn on the camera and, in a genuine and heartfelt way, you talk about how you feel about being present and gratitude and being humble. So thanks again and I'm just so glad I found this rare gem.
I’m glad that I’ve have in some way been able to help! I hope things get better and easier for you 💜
@@courtneyjeannine I am actually doing fine. I guess anytime you try something new, you have to fail in order to grow and learn. It's just hard for me to embrace failure. It often makes me upset, and it's natural for me to think that being upset and miserable is constructive and just the punishment I need to stop doing all the stupid things that are causing me to fail (Right!?) And when I'm in that deep, dark, blue funk I just need the right person to come along and remind me that there's more to life than just "grown-up stuff". So thanks for that and thanks for your concern. I can tell you are a kind person. But I actually live a pretty charmed life -K
@@KevinHanson-tk3si so glad you live a good life ☺️ I hope you become more accepting of your “failures” and that you continue to explore and try new things without judging yourself!!
@@courtneyjeannine I will try to judge myself less, but I fear SOMEONE needs to hold me accountable. You and I are very different, but the "patterns" of our lives are similar in many ways. Seeing your videos made me miss the things that I had gotten away from. But since I started exercising again, paying more attention to my dogs, feeding the birds, ect, it's had a rather ameliorating effect on my "failures". I think you had some part in that. Anyway, have a nice day. I'm so glad feeling better. -K
I hope you feel better soon, Courtney!
Thank you! I was told it can take up to a month to heal but nothing is broken, good news! ☺️
@@courtneyjeannine Good news for sure!
yes, humility is good, but again mostly for yourself. still better than the opposite.
